This is my answer to anyone who doesn't understand why some people like these features: I work almost 6 hours a day with a tablet-pen in my hand. Sure, you can navigate through anything and use it as you would use a mouse, but often using the mouse for scrolling or something is faster. So you lay down the pen, grab the mouse, do the action you wanna do, put the mouse away, grab the pen again and go on. And I do this many many times a Day. It would be much easier with the gestures of the bamboo.

I don't know why would anyone use this?! Mouse is so much practical, faster an more precise. And cheaper, too. The only thing that makes sense is if you buy the version with the pan so you can draw.

If it gets the slightest bit of dust on it for the most part it wont work, well it will but it will make you want to put it in the trash. Stick with a regular mouse is what I decided, much more reliable.

I bought this at futureshop for 40 thinking it was the pen. I was a little upset, but i found it so much better that a desktop mouse. I currently use it for my PC. I have had less wrist pains. I later bought the pen for my i5 laptop, I think i need more than 4GIGS for paint essentials. I supersized the brush and the computer took some time to drag. But the touch is simple for mobility. I have had so many mice that I was fed up .

i bought wacom pen and touch for drawing purposes. I wish to use it with Adobe Photoshop and Sai Painttool.. i cant rotate pictures through Wacom touch in photoshop.. I'm using the cs1 version (well .. i never think of upgrading it.. but not now.. XD) is the rotate function supported by Abobe Photoshop CS? (on so with the SAi painttool.. can't figure it out

probably not. it looks like the active surface is activated by heat from your finger tips. apple's iphones and ipod touches work the same way

Yes, you can use the pen as well as your fingers, just not at the exact same time. When you are using the Touch capabilities, you'll see a white light glow. When you engage the Pen, you'll see a red light glow. Pretty cool, eh?

The "rotate" function is a function of the software, made possible with the tablet.

So if you use Adobe Photoshop Elements or Corel Painter Essentials (bundled with some Bamboo products), this will be a cinch.

Because you can do digital design with it. This is just the touch so it's not as good, but if you get the one with a pen you can draw on your computer
