@somewhatlongdong They did. They put him on the news so when people see him they will know that he really is willing to work. I bet he got a job out of it.
hi graficslizard, lol I'd forgotten all about this video. You're right about the work. Some people will give you money if you don't work, but to be on the safe side and off of the street, it's probably better to get paid for working lol. I'm going to your channel now
wait a minute! You gave that guy 20 dollars to rake leaves and then left him homeless? Why didn't you help him find a place to sleep, some food, shower, cloths- what kind of news reporters are you?
come on, theres no way you're serious... But i can't tell for sure, so i'll take your comment seriously.
They are news reporters... not humanitarians, volunteers, or some religious figure whose duty is to give shelter to the homeless. They report, that is their job.
I agree that this news story probably exaggerated the amount earned per day by the average homeless. However I doubt 'trust' is the deciding factor on whether they'll do work. Its sheer laziness, and that is def clear.
be careful what you say. There is an epidemic of global homelessness. Here in America, the government is paying billions of dollars to the banks, to foreclose homes and the unemployment rate is rapidly growing, due to job loss, the medical and dental skyrocketed, food is expensive and so yes people are homeless and it's not because they're lazy. It is becoming a mad world where only the "fittest" survive.
It's hard to trust strangers who ask you to get into their cars and no, the homeless do not make 1 or 2 hundred dollars a day; they would be lucky to get 10 a day and no place to go
I hope "CBS 5" did more than just give the guy $20.

As a disabled homeless guy in Phoenix. FUCK YOU
And if I get injured working for you, NO COMP!
And who says you are going to pay them? Scams abound. With weak
US labor laws, they have no reason to pay, the homeless cant sue.

Besides you have to work for money you can't just sit around on the street and get money from people.

Because he'd still be on the street begging for money so he could stay wasted.
