A younger horse I presume. I went pro in 1992. I have multiple championships in the Hit Show circut in jumpers. My horses win because I think like a horse. We go on long trotting hacks 3 days a week on the trail. My horses really work up a nice sweat. We jump 2 times a week. Once over small technical jumps and one day over larger.3-3'6. We only do the bigger jumps 5'0 a couple of weeks before the show. Then I spend one day on dressage. It teaches you to use your leg/seat more than your hands.
really good form for you and your horse. me being an advanced novice level rider myself, thinks that was pretty impressive. good control when he got excited. now i know every good rider loves advice. (at least i do) and mine to you is have a little more release. that could be getting him frisky. don't lose your rein contact, just push your arms up his neck so he can stretch over the jump. it will be more comfortable for you and him. :]

what r u talking about it wasn't a bad buck... it obliviously was considering she fell off..... great rider and beautiful jumping position!! beautiful horse 2! gr8 job!!
PEOPLE! Stop pointing out what she did wrong! Like you've never made a mistake in horseback riding! Honestly! Just give her congrats that she didn't get hurt! Jeeezzz!!!!
I got bucked off today while jumping a course. The horse I was riding had not been ridden for a week. Talk about frisky! The first buck I managed to sit well, the second one was the hugest buck ever and I got thrown to the ground. My back really aches, but I got back up and finished the course.
Yes, on second watching, her base of support (legs) is loose/swinging, and and she is grabbing at the reins for counter-balance. Previous comment reinforced.
Maybe if she didn't hit her horse in the mouth over every single fence, my god! Grab some stinkin mane already! And yeah, this horse looks a bit hollow, but wouldn't you if you know you're gonna be wacked in the mouth over every effort!! Give the girl a neck strap and go back to cross rails!
this horse is in pain, notice the stiff back leg action and the dragging of the hind leg at 48secs, this horse has stifle problems and is crying out for help, when its ignored time and time again after each jump causing more discomfort...the horse has had enough and chucks its rider, I would have too.
I think it's the best thing ever when you do that on a pony when it's only 4 feet. It's so funny when it tries to buck you off. Hope the rider wasn't hurt at all!!
because she was catching him in the mouth with the bit and hurt him - he warned her several times, but he'd finally had enough. still no fun to be her though...ouch
she had it coming, she catches the horse in the mouth every single jump and the horse just gets more and more frusterated. release and you get a happy horse.
The horse definatly seemed a little agitated throughout his run..but she seemed to be handling him pretty well, up untill that last part, but it happens..if you ride, your gonna fall...
the horse did look rather green, and its harder to focus on what your meant to in a competition. you could see that half way through the course the horse was starting to get over excited about its job and was skipping. she should have brought it back very collected instead of letting it run on (not that this was forseeable!) and given it a pat, talked to it and used some mini aids to get its attention back.
Not bad- u kinda did pop her in the mouth. But if you were a bit more focused on the horse instead of the jumps- i know this is "not" taught, but try it!
i know the horse is a bit hot, but it would probably help if the rider released a LOT more over the fence. the horse is obviously being popped in the mouth over several of the jumps. No horse, no matter if it is dead broke or green, will take getting popped in the mouth without consequences.
if u look closely the horse got disunited...that usually throws their concentration off, and often leads to bucking, refusals and runouts.not the riders fault :) but what a lovely round before that
its obvious something is wrong, it gets worse and worse. maybe the rider should let go of the horses head over the jumps, you can see as the ride goes on and on and the distance gets closer and closer that he isnt being given his head to use his neck. the rider needs to be stronger in the tack to sink the weight into the stirrups, not hang onto the reins so much.
No his back is in pain, you are too backward in the seat, pounding on his spine, not even giving him a break. Every time you land, you don't hold yourself in the stirrups, but land on his back. Get some leg muscles. Even going into the jump you should still be in forward position. These are tiny jumps, don't be afraid.
You horse's spine is being concussed too much, that is why he bucked you off. Look at his tail swishing alot as an indicator that his back is in pain.
wow...I think he wanted to go faster. I was thrown 2 days ago from my TB mare. She freaked out and bucked/bolted. Usually I can sit it but it just came outta no where this time O.O
When you work with young horses long enough ye'll know when a horse is bucking!! Ever wonder where the term bucking bronco came from?? Bucking is mean and nasty trying to get you off, but that horse was just fresh and feelin well and the rider fell off. The horse wwas not tryin to get the rider off. If he wanted u off he would buck (properly) u off or drop his shoulder or both which is when i usually get buried. In England and Ireland and the term bronk is never used.I think u rode well though.
Emm that was a buck, only the two back legs need to be off the ground for it to be classified as a buck.
And yeah the horse was getting sillier but she was obviously trying her best.
Very good riding you were very quiet and stayed calm. Whoever said she pulled too much she hardly pulled at all, only to slow down and obviously she needed to.
That wasnt a buck, he just kicked his arse up. When horses buck thier heads disappear and their 4 feet leave the ground. He was fairly fresh lookin though and the rider was doin well to keep his mind on the job but when he rubbed the pole it was just the excuse he needed the fecker. Is it a young horse?
haha same thing happened to me except i was riding a little halflinger/welsh cross an i guess he dident want to jump over the barreles and pop i was off
haha he looked so calm and willing and just an all around nice boy :) Just like every horse, once in awhile they act up!I love how he hauls butt back towards the barn :) He's like, oops, gotta go!
That's a gorgeous horse. You can sort of see him getting annoyed, the way he flicks his tail and fights her, and give her a few little warning bucks. Once in a while a horse just gets fed up.
It's unfortunate, she's a half decent rider but she caught him in the mouth a lot, you can see him getting fed up with it at the end. Nice ride otherwise!
haha that horse was gone. lol. ive never had a horse run off on me. but it would be funny cause my horse would be so sad. shes always so disappointed when i cant sit her bucks
want more advice on the subject just go to horseproblemscomau cause the person who runs the website has linked this video to their website referencing stifle problems to this horse.
Yes the horse looks well looked after but that doesn't mean they can't have stifle lock or some other underlying problem. I have a miniature who had stifle issues and he's in excellent condition.
this horse does have something wrong with it missrazz, its clearly evident that it has stifle problems or a sacro-iliac injury, its so bloody obvious because of his movement in his hind, notice at 48secs where the horse is dragging one of his back legs, and through the whole video you can see clearly how stiff in the back legs he is, so yes there is evidence of a problem because his movement is not normal.
im doing a spills vid and was wondering if i could use ur vid?? if i could.would u pleaze e-mail on utube!! thanx so much!!! luv it!!! Hope i can use it!!! looks perfect 4 the vid i wanna do!!
there's nothimg wrong with the horse, its clear to see ot os weel looked after! and the horse was just green, some of my horses get like that, espically when jumping. its a well known fact that horses get exited when jumping, cuz they're having fun. and if the horse had a real back problem, it would be all too evident in his movement. the rider was going well. keep up the good work and dont let any of these comments put u down!
this horse is in pain, notice the stiff back leg action and the dragging of the hind leg at 48secs, this horse has stifle problems and is crying out for help, when its ignored time and time again after each jump causing more discomfort...the horse has had enough and chucks its rider, I would have too.
hi, im making a falls vid aND WAS WONDERING IF U WANT UR CLIP 2 BE IN IT!! IF NOT, TEHN THATS OK, BUT IF SO MESSAGE ME AND IL TELL U ALL THE INFO!!! thanx a bunch!!! great vid!!
i noticed him getting a little aggitated before he actually bucked, if you have a little warning like that sit back and keep your hands forward and up so if he puts his head down you can still have your balance and all you have to do is pull his head up
if you do that the horse will learn, i buck-she gets off. if your a horse that seems like a pretty simple solution right? but if you stay on and correct him he knows that is not going to work. he has to do his job, you are boss not him
IF it is a behavioral problem, that's understandable. However, this is something that should be done BEFORE the show.
People have already observed that the horse could have already been injured-- his irritation could have been caused by a number of things.
Showing is not the time for training. Sometimes even the best behaved horses will act up in the strange surroundings. So to hell with "who's boss"- it's just common sense, for SAFETY, to STOP.
i would love to see you ride a horse that high-strung. they're animals, they're unpredictable- all you can do is teach them the best you can and hope that they cooperate. if you're as experienced of a rider as you're trying to sound, you'd know that everyday is different for a horse- maybe that day was a bad day. he was excellent, but she wasnt reading him very well and im sure had she gotten out of his mouth a little and not gotten flustered he would have settled down. he got nervous thats all

That's a gorgeous horse. You can sort of see him getting annoyed, the way he flicks his tail and fights her, and give her a few little warning bucks. Once in a while a horse just gets fed up.
Harmonihorselover 3 years ago
It's unfortunate, she's a half decent rider but she caught him in the mouth a lot, you can see him getting fed up with it at the end. Nice ride otherwise!

That was preventable-- his irritation was really building up. She should have just stopped and gotten off.

want more advice on the subject just go to horseproblemscomau cause the person who runs the website has linked this video to their website referencing stifle problems to this horse.
Horsecrazykel 3 years ago
Yes the horse looks well looked after but that doesn't mean they can't have stifle lock or some other underlying problem. I have a miniature who had stifle issues and he's in excellent condition.
Horsecrazykel 3 years ago
this horse does have something wrong with it missrazz, its clearly evident that it has stifle problems or a sacro-iliac injury, its so bloody obvious because of his movement in his hind, notice at 48secs where the horse is dragging one of his back legs, and through the whole video you can see clearly how stiff in the back legs he is, so yes there is evidence of a problem because his movement is not normal.

im doing a spills vid and was wondering if i could use ur vid?? if i could.would u pleaze e-mail on utube!! thanx so much!!! luv it!!! Hope i can use it!!! looks perfect 4 the vid i wanna do!!
luckylady1515 3 years ago
there's nothimg wrong with the horse, its clear to see ot os weel looked after! and the horse was just green, some of my horses get like that, espically when jumping. its a well known fact that horses get exited when jumping, cuz they're having fun. and if the horse had a real back problem, it would be all too evident in his movement. the rider was going well. keep up the good work and dont let any of these comments put u down!

Lisanne87 3 years ago

larafan2 3 years ago
yeah that horse was in pain. Poor thing. He must have some sort of back injury i would say;
THBILLKAULITZX 3 years ago
just cause he bucked.rider fault
coIby151 3 years ago
this horse is in pain, notice the stiff back leg action and the dragging of the hind leg at 48secs, this horse has stifle problems and is crying out for help, when its ignored time and time again after each jump causing more discomfort...the horse has had enough and chucks its rider, I would have too.

luckylady1515 3 years ago
u could tell something was brewing up inside him lol
sarahpy1990 3 years ago
i noticed him getting a little aggitated before he actually bucked, if you have a little warning like that sit back and keep your hands forward and up so if he puts his head down you can still have your balance and all you have to do is pull his head up
head1st4hal0s 3 years ago
How about at that point you just get the hell off and let the horse cool it..?!
When you feel something wrong, abort!! There's a REASON why the horse is being weird.
If it's only behavioral, I would rather surrender to the horse (by getting off) than stay and fight.. Because there's just too much risk.
MySongIsLove22 3 years ago
if you do that the horse will learn, i buck-she gets off. if your a horse that seems like a pretty simple solution right? but if you stay on and correct him he knows that is not going to work. he has to do his job, you are boss not him
head1st4hal0s 3 years ago
IF it is a behavioral problem, that's understandable. However, this is something that should be done BEFORE the show.
People have already observed that the horse could have already been injured-- his irritation could have been caused by a number of things.
Showing is not the time for training. Sometimes even the best behaved horses will act up in the strange surroundings. So to hell with "who's boss"- it's just common sense, for SAFETY, to STOP.
MySongIsLove22 3 years ago
i would love to see you ride a horse that high-strung. they're animals, they're unpredictable- all you can do is teach them the best you can and hope that they cooperate. if you're as experienced of a rider as you're trying to sound, you'd know that everyday is different for a horse- maybe that day was a bad day. he was excellent, but she wasnt reading him very well and im sure had she gotten out of his mouth a little and not gotten flustered he would have settled down. he got nervous thats all

Agreed.
