My wife, who used to be the assistant service manager at a Mercedes dealer laughed her head off when she saw this. You don't know what you are talking about Rocketjbob. Keep on ripping people off.
How do you "over tighten" a tensioner? A ratcheting tensioner has to be taken apart the put back in with the chain in the car. It will then reset itself. What a dope!
Fucking idiots there is no 1988 2.3-16 in the states. Only 86' and 87' unless it is grey market like mine. Anyway i would not turbocharge the thing or supercharge ever. Your gonna need to do an itb conversion if you want that thing to roar. They are a little hard to tune, but once you get them tuned they run like hell. It would be the best for this N/A vehicle. I have documented plans of how to do it if you want. Also I am warning you now, the engine is not the easiest choice to work on.
Love you 2 buddy. You are right though. I make my living bringing 30 years of knowledge and expierence to bear on keeping my customers cars reliably on the road. I do charge alot. And I'm worth it.
this guys full of it. 'its gonna cost alot of money" he keeps wiping his hand as though hes been touching the engine full of grease. He may know his thing but hed charge alot to someone who doesnt know about cars.
I've owned a 2.6, and 2.3-16v. Many parts are slightly interchangeable cosmetically, if that helps with some cosmetic flaws you may have. Compression wise it is incredible how much they can handle, they are one of the strongest blocks I've ever seen. Turboing isn't a bad idea, but it will involve a lot of custom piping and messing with the injectors is a severe pain. You mentioned the 2.5 which sounds nice, but none came to America and very few exist. 2.5-16's that run cost upwards of 40,000 eu
Briliant ! But where are the rest of the videos ?
