All these people that say those that made this vid are rednecks, they annoy me, although if I hear the laughter in this vid I'd say it's not that educational, 'vause this is great to explain how/where energy is made in our bodies, in this case, Potassium Chlorate is the Enzyme that helps to convert the bond energy of the sweetener in the gummy bear, into CO2 H2O, but more important: ENERGY, in this case it's light and heat, in our bodies it's ATP (Adinosine Tri Phosphate)

I remember when we did this in Chemistry. We all 'sacrificed' our gummy bears to the volcanoe. It was fun, except we did it outside so as to not set off the smoke alarms. In physics class we just permanently taped paper plates over the smoke detectors because we burned and exploded things so much. :) ...good times.
