As for Adebayor, sadly City are not crazy enough to pay £70million for him. But he has received a work permit and so he should be confirmed as an Arsenal player within the next 24 hours.

I can't see liverpool signing anyone else, maybe 1 at the most. if Alonso goes it could be 2 i am guessing, No positions need to be filled really if players like Babel step up after Benayoun's great season.

I can't believe that Villa are in for Downing. It feels as though MON is paving the way for Ashley Youngs exit. After a promising season last year I feel that the hierarchy at Villa Park have read the situation completely wrong. Ever since they played a weakened team in the UEFA cup the ambition has drained out of the club and so will the fervour of the fans I fear.

I think Sir Alex is under alot of pressure next season. Many people are starting to doubt him and doubt if he even has the 80million to spend. If he doesn't win trophies everyone will wonder why he didn't buy big name players.

Arsene Wenger and Mark Hughes will be most under pressure for the 2009-10 season in my opinion. Arsene because when was the last time Arsenal won a cup? And Mark Hughes because, well, u know why.. he'll need to get at least a european spot, if not the top 4.

I still don't think Man City will break the top 4 though. Maybe they'll get 5th. Superstar power isn't everything. But I hope I'm wrong 'cos I wanna see a change in the top 4 for once!
