I would like to give u a few suggestions as being a drawer too. firstly be careful about levels of shadows especially in lips and nose. its difficult in charcoal but it can be developed through experience. secondly i know it is the most difficult thing but be careful about ratio of nose, lips and especially their positions on the face. there's nothing wrong with lips without their position on the face.finally, i think it was great and very successful drawing in 50 just minutes. thanks..

you asked for comments - like a lot of others, the lips look "cracked" from a distance but smoother close up. i was taught to back away from my drawings now & then and re-check highlights/shadings & proportions; you're young and it's a good job. You'll be GREAT with a couple years more experience! props for sure!

Na ja die Lippen sind meiner Meinung nach etwas groß geraten. Find es sonst echt geil. Ich habe immer Probleme Nasen zu zeichnn und ich kriege auch nie die Schattierungen im Gesicht so geil hin. 50 Min. ist meiner Meinung echt ne kurze Zeit. Ich glaube ich hätte länger gebraucht. Echt klasse!

Wirklich schönes Bild,dass ist unbestreitbar,dass du wirklich malen kannst. Aber Natalie Portman?Hmm...eher nicht. Das erste was mir aufgefallen ist,sind die "Risse" an den Lippen..ich saß hier und hab geschrieben"Lass sie weg,mach sie weg"*lach* Die haben den Mund "zerstört" der eig. ganz schön ist. Dazu kommen Schatten und die Nase+Falte. Die Nase gefällt mir nicht so..auch die "Striche" dort nicht,neben dem Nasenloch. Die Schatten und die Falte machen sie irgendwie Älter..Trotzdem danke:)

you have a fantastic ability to catch light and shape, but not preportions. i am an artist and i struggle a lot with them too, i am doing portraits of all my friends for my portfolio because it is a challenge for me, and i find that drwing them three or four times really helps. you can get the right lines of their face in your head, so you don't have to try as hard. over all, great work and keep drawing, you're talented.

AMAZING WORK!!!! You really spent a great deal of time perfecting that piece. I really loved how you spend so much time on the eyes and the lips. I always believed that they were the most important aspects to drawing a portrait. At any rate you were amazing. : )
