I have a 1GB ram and I have an old computer that have a 2GB RAM. I want to put that 2GB Ram here in my 1GB ram... how many RAM will i get? if I put those RAMS in 1 PC?

What i need to do i have 4 ram places, 2 are black and 2 are blues, i have 2 x 512 mb and 1 x 1gb and i have installed the 1gb ram and 512 to blue places and the 1 512 is installed to black then my computer says i have 1,5 gb of ram and when i look it from tasks control

it says i have only 512 ram. I have windows vista home prerium Please help me

If you have dual channel mode. You need the identical module in the other slot.

The static will mess up if it gets your motherboard, not if it hits the case.

every slot that has a stick of ram in it should have all clips pushed in. but empty slots to not matter.

if u still have the 512 card in there most likely nothing will happen unless u take it out just dont worry bout it, watch my video and u will see i just added ram didnt do anything else

if you are just putting 1 stick of ram you can put it in any, but if you are installing 2 sticks put them both in the same channel,

its a great computer so far. it will b better when i put an 8600gt and 2gb ram on it.

69 degrees C(154 F) playing NFS carbon with maxed out visuals. its not too bad, if it got to around 80C then I would start worrying.

some ppl thing that the 6150 is weak but i am able to play games liek counter strike on high settings at like 30-50 fps. and i can play bioshock and call of duty 4 at good fps too.

im getting me a 8400gs soon tho, i wanna run bioshock on high settings and dx10

btw the 6150 sucks i have it and its shit. you can run CS? who cares CS is an old undemanding game. And no you can't run Bioshock and COD4 with decent framerate on decent settings because its just not possible with such a shitty card.

You should get more pysical ram because it is probably bottlenecking your graphics card at the momment. Virtual RAM isn't has good as pysical ram because it takes longer to swap so it is much less effeient.

Yes you can. If you a running windows you can adjust it, its called a paging file. Google "increase paging file". ;)

my PC has 2 ram sockets and 2 blank spaces for ram sockets, the 2 sockets have 512MB in each.

should i have to buy more ram sockets and put them in or just replace the current 512MB ram with 1G ram?

if you put PC3200 with PC2700 they will both run at the slower PC2700, you should not have to press hard, if you are pushing down on the correct points the ram will go in before the motherboard breaks.

well, all i know is that pc3200 is backwords compatible with pc2700. i'm not sure if pc2700 works the same way.
