yeah definitely. you see people putting monte carlo stocks and scopes on them, I dont see the point of doing all the mods when you have an awesome rifle to start out with. I saw a Springfield '03-A3 yesterday, that someone sporterized. Put a new stock on it, cushy buttpad, scope, and it looked like they ground down the sights with a chisel to put thier precious scope on!!!! Seriously. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

they are both accurate. But if you arent used to recoil, then buy an M91/30. Its heavier, which means less kick.

You can always buy one and then the other later, they are all cheap anyway. I've got a 100$ Hungarian M44, a 70$ 42 Tula 91/30 and a 27 Tula ex dragoon 91/30 (like new) for 130$.

3 rifles for 300$ you gotta love 'em.

nice job and i agree what you said, exept for the taking care of it. the 7.62x54 isn't that dirty of a round. (at least mine!) also i think i can top your time but couldn't post it or take apart the bolt. (never saw a need.)
