3. place objects between you and themselves almost to separate themselves from you

4. Facial expressions will suddenly arise and end abruptly

5. There will be limited hand gestures and the gestures will be toward the person lying not towards the accuser

6. The person lying will feel uncomfortable facing you so they will tun to the side.

7. restate the question that you asked and will not speak with contractions (can not instead of can't)

People need to understand that there is no clear way to tell if someone is lying because some people give off more subtle cues and some people have body movements that could be mistaken for deceptive behaviors. Your best bet is to look for clusters of nonverbal body movements and assess what they are saying in correlation to that. I suggest reading a book by Joe Navarro, an ex-FBI profiler, because the videos on youtube about body language aren't very accurate.

What shes teaching is generic but shes not teaching that its a case by case basis. For example, I hold the back of my neck sometimes when I'm talking to people which is a sign that I find them annoying or threatening when actually its just a common movement for me. Research an Australian guy named Allan Pease. Hes awesome for this stuff.

Some people by habit say yes but shake their head no, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are lying. An acquaintance did this to me and I knew that she was lying by knowing her over time. Her body language just reaffirmed my suspicion.

Seriously though, I think a serious problem that "body language experts" make is to assume that anxiety equals, or may be uniformly an "untruth". Everyone comes across situations with make them anxious. 1 in every 3 people have an anxiety disorder of some kind. On this subject, you may bet that they're lying, but be aware that this may not be the case.
