Sure it does. You could have been in the place a long time ago or it could just be that there is some underlying similarity between the place/thing and something you know. Psychologically speaking, there are tons of reasons that you could look at for Deja Vu. You really seem to be the opposite of me. Anyways, I think that you should just think about things in a bit more depth before you come to a conclusion. Especially when the things are just feelings.
Just think of it this way, it is logical for people to act illogically because of the way our brains work. Think more on a broader view of things than on a simple specific examination. I guess you will probably never think about it in my perspective but then again, if you follow logic along it basically comes to live life to be happy, there isn't much else to live for. If living for "god" makes you happy and it doesn't infringe on other people's happiness, go with it.
I understand and respect what your saying, I just have recently found that I just need to live a simpler life and not worry about things I can't explain. I usually don't think as much in depth anymore because I analyze things and if i dont know the answer i stress out. So i try to just live on a simpler note, i am much happier. I used to stress out way to much, now i've just come to a resolution to just be happy, because you cant control other people or the environment most of the time.
That's a pretty good philosophy for life but I think you shouldn't stress out about questions you can't answer. You should just try harder or take comfort in the fact that we have found the answers to so many complicated things in the world.

The thing is that you aren't looking at it from a large enough perspective. It makes logical sense that we would follow our emotions. It is logical that humans would do all these things. If things don't follow logic, you usually aren't looking at it from the right perspective or you just haven't found the logical solution. Deja Vu can be explained logically to an extent. Beyond that extent, we just haven't found out why yet. People are just too impatient.
For example, if you were reading a book and you stopped halfway through. Is there an ending of the book? Clearly yes, there is an end to the book, you just haven't gotten there yet. Religion to me in this metaphor would be equivalent to just making up an ending and not bothering to finish the book. I just think it is stupid to assume that their is no answer just because we don't know it yet. 500 years ago, all that logic and reason has accomplished would have been considered impossible.

My problem with that is that all of it is just feelings. The thing about feelings is that they are all just chemicals in the brain and the brain has a thing for releasing chemicals based on random things. I just don't think it is credible enough. Logic on the other hand offers little room for dispute or interpretation. It is just simple, basic fact. Throughout history, we have been able to progressively find more and more though it so I am confident it will give better results than religion.
Oh, just remembered. The thing that actually annoys me the most is when parents teach their religion to their children. Kids should get the choice, if they have religious experiences without the influences of their early childhoods, they should follow them but if they just get their parents telling them what to think, they aren't really credible in all those "I feel god in my soul" statements.
