Hi, I'd like to say thanks for sharing the music sheet! I'm learning to play the alto saxophone, and I wanted to play this song and the only thing I could find to help me was your video and music sheet. For now I'm transposing the voice part and I hope I can play it and record a video soon. Thanks a lot for your video, it's very inspiring.

Somewhat difficult song to play, but definitely playable. Only part that's at all hard is syncing the bass and melody while playing at tempo. I still mess up on a few parts.

And yes, what you hear in this video and whats in the PDF are pretty much exact. If you don't think it does, you need to practice piano more.

That PDF is not what is played here.

Even if it is; it's a very bad transcription and doesn't sound right. I'm not being nasty since it isn't the first bad transcription I've come across.

@panmasterpiano I think it's the right PDF. From what i hear, all the notes are there.

The thing that's missing in the transcript is the markers to tell you which notes to play louder than others because there are extra notes in between the "main notes" (dunno how to explain this)

@Nocky91 Fortes, crescendos and decrescendos, leggieros, etc. It's pretty much all there, just improvise and do what you think sounds right for what is unmarked.

Not sure what those other guys are talking about, that sheet music doesn't look THAT intimidating! Lots of notes, but they're all very similar. The challenging bit looks like getting the melody and bass coordinated.

That said, my opinion might change after I give it a go. This is a really excellent transcription, and I would do well to give a challenging looking piece like this a go. :)

Out of curiosity, what level would this music be rated at?

From what you wrote it seems that you are a good pianist. I often said that my arrangements are not easy but even not as difficult as many classic pieces are. I think that someone who studied a Ballade of Chopin can play this one....you only need time to work on the rhythm and to find a good fingering.

Eh... a decent pianist. I've got little interest in theory, and learned most songs I know by ear rather than from sheet music. My piano education was fairly informal, and I mainly just play for my own entertainment. This song would definitely be a challenge for me.

Not that I mind... it's a beautiful song, and I could always use a challenge. :)

After having given it a shot, it's a fair bit more difficult than it looks! I'm still going to hammer away at it, but I've always had trouble figuring out rhythms from sheet music... I've almost always had to learn them by ear.

Practise makes perfect, I guess!

yeah, it's playable. I've seen a couple transcriptions that were (almost) utterly unplayable, but this one should be fine with a bit of practice. And it's definitely worth the effort.

@Steamrick Welcome, if you can record it on a video you can silence all those who are boring me saying that this (and some other arrangements) are unplayable. Where are these other scores of this tune you have mentioned?

@Steamrick Indeed. It took me four months of playing one or two times a day to get it to the point where it felt like I was actually playing the song in this video instead of a sad approximation, but its eminently doable. Very fun song to play once you've figured out the timings and fingering. :)

There is not another version...i think I'm the only one who transcribed it. Just cut away (don't play) those notes that are too difficult for you.
