If you right-click the shortcut icon for the game and click on properties, one of the tabs should say something along the lines of "compatibility" or "settings". If you look under one of those, there's a box that allows you to run programs in compatibility mode. Set it to Windows '95. (You might also want to set it to 256-color mode, as well). After that, you should be able to play it correctly once you double-click the icon!

I had this game on my old 486 when i got a multimedia kit sound card speakers software etc. and this game was part of it, I used to play this game for hours and i still have the cd, it would be cool if someone did a mod for GTA like GTA cartown and putt-putt was a car you could steal in the mod, the cord thing is his radio antenna, lol click the radio here and you'll hear: tire o's are yummy, tire o's are so sweet, eat them with your motor oil but dont spill them on your seat
