  • bad camera, didnt show interior or details outside the car

  • Audi wasnt honest about e-Tron torque figures, more like 252 lb-ft than 3,319

  • @PEROlozhach

The torque is right, An Electric motor has much more torque than a "normal motor" as we have them in a car by now, and this car has 4 of them. A German company like Audi has to proof every word they say or other German Company`s like BMW or Mercedes will have there fun in showing the reality facts the next weeks and months

  • HAWTNESS

  • i love the grill and rims

  • 20 years away? um we'll have flying cars by then.

  • i bet that thing is super light weight. what a terrible reporter.

  • Watch the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car"

  • Awesome documentary! Had me fuckin pissed though.

  • Want to see the worlds 10 MOST EXPENSIVE CARS

    then visit my channel

  • fix those rims and grill and i'll consider it

  • why is buddy holly talking about Audi?

  • lol'd.

  • "And why did they remove the engine? To make room for, my shit eating grin, annoying smirks and equally annoying raised eyebrow"

  • very good

  • e-tron because it looks like a Citroën GT, right? haha

  • 4 electric MOTORS, not engines. Good grief.

  • muy muy bueno!!!

  • His head... its sooo square.

  • Im getting one!

  • yo también! (me too!) ;-)

  • this is awesome video, this car is beautiful, love it, great video

  • Electric cars are not two decades away. You can get one right now.

  • What camera was this shot on? mainly the fish eye shots? canon 5D mk ii?

  • now that's cool

  • Just remember if its all electricity they just burn coal to get the electricity then have to send it down lines for people to charge it, so its not great, but at least we wouldn't have to buy the fuel from the middle east.

  • god damnit why cant they just put out cars like thes

  • aww poor you

  • weak summary

  • Looks like shit

  • must be blind...

  • sta azpero ese coche

  • Lithium batteries are very very toxic...

  • They are going to produce it in high numbers (hundreds or thousands) but actual production for normal customers is a couple decades away? this guy is a chode

  • phew. at least two degades till I actually have to buy some f*cking battery car. hugely unexiting.

  • then why are you watching a summary of an electric car? idiot

go watch some oversized Hummer or something

  • how fast?

  • woww if you hav the money to bur the r8, buy that. this one will have bugs. its electric

  • The biggest problem with hub motors is where to put the brakes. The motors can be used very effectively but can't lock the wheels in a panic stop. The impact taken by hub motors can be pretty severe too. BTW, an engine is a heat differential device, which is why the correct term is motor.

  • why not just extend the axel out of the motors a bit and break on those.

  • brake *

  • ridiculously insane lol

  • It's Electric MOTOR not engine.

  • do u think the oil only uses in cars ?

  • when all cars become electronic, middle east will become third world

  • we will be dead in couple of decades

  • I-Robot anybody? lol

  • a mix between an r8 and TT .. looks pretty cool

  • Headlights looks goofy

  • couple of decades? Man FUCK YOU!!

  • The camera was way too close to that man face! nice car though!

  • I bet its quick with four electric motors, AWD and lithium power.

This is the way an EV should work. Its so simple. I mean the drivetrain has 4 moving parts - just the wheels. Thats awesome. Good job.

  • i think most electric cars have a motor at each wheel.

i think for power to weight ratio the electric car loses though. The Tesla roadster was quick but was too heavy.

  • There are currently no production EVs that use motors in the wheels. It isnt a new idea however, but they're more expensive to build.

Actually electrics have very good power to weigh ratios. Electric motors produce flat, wide torque curves and lack weighty parts such as a transmission, cooling system and belt driven accessories. The Tesla Roadster only weighs 2700lbs but makes over 220lbs of torque. Thats better a power to weight ratio than a lot of sports cars which is why its so quick.

  • yeah but i'm going on top gear's test when they tried to slalom it and it handled badly.

i thought i've heard of a lot of ev's use individual motors, maybe just the ideas.

i like the whole concept though, it's amazing with today's technology that the problem is still the battery. thanks for the info.

  • The Germans invented the car (combustible engine) and the best looking car ever made IMO (Duesenberg) was made by German/Americans. It seems the Germans know there how to make great/ affordable cars.

  • Benz BMW Audi are my favorite brands, theyre all german.

  • ?????german last time i checked. unless they were bought but i dobut it

  • Lol not British. Audi, Benz, BMW, Porsche, Opel, and Volkswagen are all German

  • German

  • Performance?

  • great car

  • Ladies and gentlemen what we have here is the Audi LmFao

This just goes to show that the industry is still focused on keeping EVs off the market. They make them look so futuristic and complicated then tell you that they're stil a couple of decades away.

  • a couple of decades? i didnt think petrol will last that long

  • "super slippery" lolololol

  • Why would Audi remove the engine?, well because it was filled with sludge LOL

  • I must be thinking of Lexus.

  • Audi is a Japanese owned car maker correct?

  • OMG!!lol NO its a German Company

  • Was it really that funny that I didn't know this?

  • No lol is german !

  • guy is too monotone

  • awesome cars

  • I really wanna go to the Frankfurt auto show next year...

  • that thing has 3300 ft/lbs of toruq. google it bitchesss.

  • Wow, those rims will be fun when it come to a car wash!

  • Rims always are, right?

  • Definitely the rims, you've got to ride it clean!

  • "couple decades away", fuck that...

  • Wow, I didn't know it have movable parts, that's pretty cool.

  • a couple of decades away? I plan on flying to the moon for fresh Swiss cheese with my own personal jet pack in a couple of decades! I plan on having a wife name Jane, and a boy named Elroy in couple of decades! whats the hold up!?!

  • get rid of coal its called wind water and the one that coal companies never touch bcuz it produces more energy is solar. in your face Agrubert

  • BS this will be decades away from trickling down. What? I'm suppossed to wait until I am in my sixties before I can drive a decent electric car? F that! It is time for a REVOLUTION!

  • Why electric? This car body looks beautiful it deserves a powerful horsepower like r8 version.

  • Horsepower means nothing. Speed is determined largely by wieght to power. Electric motors are much more effiecient and don't need extra hp because the energy is not wasted making noise and smog.

  • I know the knowledge of speed and horsepower but electric technology on cars still have many years to research in order to have powerful speeds for cars. Plus don't forget charging can be challenging part to regain car's battery power in order to drive. Lithium battery is not for cars, in my opinion I believe new battery energy should be researched for speed and life span. It's a long way to go for electric cars when it comes to battery and charging in my opinion.

  • Tesla Roadster goes 0-60 in 3 seconds. How is that not powerful?

  • Tesla roadster goes fast and that's true but you will need to charge the battery in few hours. But hybrid or regular engine is the powers won't die that easy unless the driver is stupid enough to empty his tank. Recharging the whole battery car takes a long time to regain powers.

  • eco friendly, where do people think the energy to power this cars will come from..please look at the big picture.

More coal will be needed, and to produce a battery is not "eco-friendly", it does a lot of damage to the environment and a many other things....Thank you.

  • nice and eco friendly

  • Yeah we'd like to keep saying that widespread adaption of electric vehicles is a few decades away...but it really isn't. Just look at the Tesla Roadster, the Chevy Volt, the Honda FCX Clarity, and now this car. With Tesla's Model S Sedan on the way, I'd give 10 years, max, until at least 51% of new cars sold are electric.

  • FISHEYE!!!!!!!!!

  • ЭХ...........

  • ohh my good

  • wow

  • looks like an r8

  • electric power = no horsepower loss :)(=

  • Electric Motors, not Engines.

  • a couple of decades away? i'll be forty by then!

  • the grill and rims gotta go...

  • UGLY!

Look at that front. Looks like it's squinting.

  • so nice

    but i HATE those rims

  • I was going to ask you guys when you were going to show this thing. Only thing is a Tesla roadster will outrun it to 60!

  • Bet Jay Leno is going to be one of the few who gets their hands on one of these

  • the headlights look like wrentches

  • nice but im not likin the rims

  • That thing is sexy

  • wow, this is a beautiful looking car

  • nice

  • Personally, I can't stand the look of it. Too Flashy, yet I like what they are trying to do.
