I second what y2j1980x said before. The music is very good both structure and mixing-wise. However, there's nothing in there that makes the music "glue" in my head. No riffs I can remember and stuff like that. Also, something doesn't sound right for me on the first bass solo, looks like you're improvising in a different key that has nothing to do with the song.

I really like this tune (it got sent to me via email) yet, while it sounds amazingly professional, there isn't a riff in it which really stands out for me to the point where, if I heard this on the radio, I'd stop everything to listen; I think it just needs a more memorable main riff in there somewhere. I think of the main riff in Metallica's 'Orion' (for example) and it's immediately in my head. I have bits and pieces from this one, but nothing absolutely stands out.

@SonicSynthesisSounds Thanks for the comment! I am using two fingers to produce the pinch harmonic, one for picking, and the other to mute the string, similar as you would with a pick and a finger. Most fingerplayers use their fingernail as a pick when doing this, however, the technique I am using does not involve the fingernail. It is pretty easy to be honest.

Definitely enjoyed the composition and how the song has been paced, the tempo variations are quite aesthetic,one big downside is that the key board tone is quite distracting (a bit flat?) and it is towering on top of the bass,the riffs and the irritating omnipresent synth :)

The bass and percussion along with that "lyrics" near the 6 minute mark was killer. The way mellow and the heavy parts are interleaved was kind of reminiscent of the recent (post Blackwater Park) works of Opeth,Good luck

I like the groove, clearly there's technical talent and idea there! I'd love it more if the mix was overall brighter, with more separation between the tracks. And I'd personally prefer the synth sounds a bit more from the "natural" end of the spectrum. I'm sure you've heard Jordan Rudess do it but even he uses the most synthetic sounds sparingly since often a natural sound appeals to the listener

Sounds like you follow Dream Theater alot. If thats your dig, go for it! Dream Theater have never really made it, always struggled.

People are not so much into that type of music.

Want to make it really big? Flow what you have into a "Rush" type sound and tempo...and take a bit of "Disturbed" and throw it into the mix. Never copy, build of what is available and make it your own.

Experiment.

HEY! Don't get me wrong...there is NO lack of talent here, it's direction!

I personally think these guys will make it sooner or later....they just need direction.

BUT, making it big, playing music you really don't care for isn't really satisfying.

It's easy for us to tell them what we would do, but we don't have to play it over and over the rest of our lives for a dollar or two.

I think they need to pull in a semi-pro vocalist without a attitude.

It's pretty cool. The synths at the beginning sound a bit out of place; not great tone and not adding much to the impact of the music. Also, the music as a whole begins to sound like a continuous mash-up of randomly generated progressions by around five minutes of play (ease the synths off some). On the positive side of things, you guys were KILLING that bass guitar. There is at least some variety in the passages, modulating the intensity somewhat frequently and employing piano and nice cleans.
