Oh ffffff- the first time I encountered this song was an K-on mad to it that said "... no naku koro ni ~sou~" and that didn't give us the song.

Did they just try to fool us by saying it's from sou (haven't found ANYTHING else about it on the net), or did they just think that they should use an original name?

Maybe you MIGHT know now... but this is not a goddamn movie trailer. Even if Higurashi is one of the most famous gore/violent anime series in Japan, it just cannot make a full featured movie, although they did make a crappy real-people version movie that was so not higurashi.
