Carolina Wren Baby Birds eating bugs, pooping & leaving nest

my wren friend lives on my porch in a gourd he sings at night about 3 or 4 in the morning he's been there about 5 years he had a mate but i haven't seen her lately,they had babies once also.

Was the nest box mounted in a partially screened porch area? Was the adult able to get to the babes? or the babes to her?

The baby birds shown were from 2 nests. The nest box was out on an open wall. Parents made the 2nd nest inside a screen porch with a torn panel. Mom showed them the way out and then the screen was patched.

How come the babies are behind what looks like netting at the end and the mother is the other side with food?

Those babies were from a different nest the birds made in a screened porch that had some big holes. Mother soon showed them the way out and then the holes were patched.
