  • @TheFuryClan The Tager player's name is "Yumura" and the Relius is "Shadow".

  • That was hilarious. Title made Tager sound like some kind of animal/specimen.

  • @wondersquare no its not blazblue its you sucking at the game

  • @wondersquare

Random hit -> Random hit -> Random hit -> Win (Street Fighter IV)

    Random hit -> 100% -> Random hit -> 100% -> Random hit -> 100%. -> Win (Marvel 3)

Mash buttons -> Win (Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur, Tekken)

Every fighting game sucks. Your point?

  • @LordSpectreXIII You're doing it wrong.

  • @LordSpectreXIII Your examples would suggest you missed my point. Though the MvC3 one is accurate enough (for a silly youtube comment) to describe why it’s also bad.

Also, I will remember the "X isn’t terrible, you are just terrible at it" counter argument. It destroys and is celebrated by onlookers. Double trouble.

  • @wondersquare Truth.

  • @wondersquare I bet your knowledge of Blazblue's depth is soooo amazing.

  • @wondersquare So you're dismissing any neutral game or mixup because...?

I mean, the whole crux of your mockery is "random hit" and then maybe some bitching about combos which nobody can gather anything substantive out of, but I don't see what's wrong with the neutral/pressure game of BB from BBCS2 onward.

  • @wondersquare I hate to agree with a person who's flaming you, but winning or losing depending on random hits is pretty much the mark of a low-level player in EVERY fighting game, and that's definitely true in BB too. Mix-ups, cross-ups, zoning, footsie, baiting, frame advan, throw set-ups, they're as much a factor in high-level BlazBlue play as SF, in some cases more so. Not to mention added resource-management challenges. Is your complaint about the importance of corner trapping?

  • @TheArgoyle I’m sorry you have read so much into this. I don’t hate BB and the only SF I play is A2-A3.

Here's the beef: big damage comes off moves with little-to-no risk; in fact most of them are staple for pressure. This is what I meant by random. It doesn’t matter what you tag someone with you’re getting 30-50% depending on character/position (ignoring idiocy). It was meant to be a ‘you scamp and your hyperbole’ jest... I will never question anime fighters again.

  • @wondersquare I'd say that would make sense if most characters didn't get their biggest damage off of overheads, 6B, 6Cs, 3Cs, and various quartercircles. If you get a 2a as Tsubaki you aren't doing shit in that combo compared to a 6C which is much less safe. You could argue that you gain a lot of damage with her character from CH 22A but that implies that someone saw you load a 22x and then decided to not wait and see if it was a D or not. Opinions and whatnot, just presenting information.

  • @Boozeahol So why leave out her main pressure tool 5B which has range, is plus on block and goes into great damage - stocks permitting. 6C isn’t as safe as 2A but it is jump cancellable.

Taokaka gets nothing off 6B but can 5B or CH drive into 3.5k-4k anywhere on the screen. Hazama can do his super DP combos off most things. Noel does 5k midscreen off one-button invincible moves? Makoto does how much off a jab?

  • @wondersquare I'm merely pointing out that you get greater damage potential of of more risk. You definitely get high damage off of a jab as Makoto, but you score 'more' damage statistically as you move up the risk ladder. Super DP = meter, Drive Noel is very predictable.

Tsubaki is not about high damage, most of her gameplay is based around 2k, 3-4k+ if stock. CH 5b into 623c\j.214a into 3k+ stockless gives bad positioning. Tsubaki likes opponent downed in corner, 5b space, grounded, 1+ stock.

  • @Boozeahol I still don’t agree. Most characters have solid moves with a good P1 they can turn into stupid shit. And what character isn't based around corner carry and high damage corner combos? Relius can 5B into 5k. Surprised? I’m not.

The key difference between BB and GG for me is that you actually have to work for your bullshit in the latter.

  • @wondersquare Ive' yet to see Relius do that 5B damage meterless in an actual match, but link me if you've found one. If every character in-game has the exact same 'bullshit' that they can pull off of most of their moveset, then I'm not really seeing the problem. At that point it's just a different style of fighting game, like complaining that you gain meter by moving towards your opponent in GG, or complaining that DoA has a counter system, or SC ringouts. I'm fine with difference of opinions.

  • @wondersquare Not really. Depends on character. Some get good damage off 5b, some only if they're near the corner. Some only on crouchers or counterhit. Damage off overheads varies. Damage off throws vary. If you're thinking of CT/CS1, yes, the rewards are pretty homogeneous. In BBCS2/E for many characters, you have reward variety based on move, position, ch, etc.

Also, the reward for pressuring SHOULD be high. That creates fear of having to block and fear of screwing up when you try to get out.

  • @Mineral4r7s /watch?v=i4PoPyBKVrs&feature=feedf

  • Where can I find the full match?

  • The one with the 214D>720C is godlike

  • @DENNISTARDIVINO

Only 1 problem, if they low attack/knock down.

    if you watch the "user/TheBBVlog"

you will see a a player coopa who does some nasty rapid moves into Busters.

Also he is pretty good at Instant Blocks.

It is those little things that if you study the game opens up so much more.

If you are on XBox, Private Message me you Gamer Tag.

  • @icegryphon I think that if someone would try to score a low attack, he has a good chance to take a 720C throw counter, if that's done quickly. Btw I already subscribed to bbvlog and I know who Coopa is, I am also an active user of tager board on dustloop. If you want my xbox gamer tag that's "BKDennis", I play more on ps3 'cause I haven't a stick for xbox360 (waiting for akihabara ps360+).

  • Do this all the time to Carl and Nirvana.

    I hate that damn puppet.

But, I do have the most respect for Carl Players as he is probably the hardest to master.

  • You had to be there.

  • Who ever that tager is , he was like NAH FAM U GETTING SLEDGED NOW!

  • So does this mean Relius is a turtle-style character?

  • You had to be there.

  • This one gave a hardon to my ears!

  • This = so much better than all of the related videos.

  • Explanation: Tager's A sledge clashed with Relius' DD, which enabled him to cancel A sledge into A sledge etc., 5 of which actually hit Relius and comboed. After that the proration was too high and Relius blocked, then Tager did the hammer followup to one of his sledges (proj gp, hence why he didn't get hit by the puppet), which hits overhead and killed the low blocking foe.

    Meanwhile the crowd applauds.

  • OOH! OOH! OOH! OOH! OOH! OOH!

  • Headbanger tager???

  • lmao at the related videos

  • Explanation please?

  • DAT TAGER YO!

  • BANGER TAGER

  • Yoooooooooo

  • WTF daigo plays blazblue now

  • That was actually pretty sexy.
