  • I love odd time vamps for drum solos it gets the drummer a chance to really express themselves! Great job!! Terri Lynne one of my top 10 all time drummers!!

  • IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY ABOUT SOMEONES MUSIC, THEN WHY BOTHER TO LISTEN AND/OR MAKE RUDE REMARKS. EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT TASTE IN MUSIC. OBVIOUSLY, YOURS IS DIFFERENT. SO LEAVE UR COMMENTS AT DA DOOR. TERRI IS THE BADDEST FEMALE DRUMMER ON THIS SIDE OF THE WORLD. & WHY ASK IF SHE'S LESBIAN. SHE'S HUMAN. smh. DATZ ALL DAT MATTERS

  • 7/4 hurts my brain...

  • @SouthPawBass74

You should buy another one (brain)!

The beauty can not be explained!

Use your ears and brain a lot by listening to this kind of thing and you will enter into a new world full of emotions called "great music".

  • @marcdedouvan It is nice. Its complex is what I'm saying (:

  • @SouthPawBass74

OK! It's very nice for me too!

Your first comment was not very clear!

Complexity is often close to beauty: like life, a tree, the sea, a town in the night, a cloud changing in the sky, etc.

However, 7/4 isn't necessarily complex and like in art painting, it's no need to understand everything for enjoy it!

Thanks Terri, only a few persons reaches this level of musicality!

  • she lesbian?

  • @iwill366 Who cares. She can be a democrat if she plays like that!

  • @chillichomper Well obviously he, or she, cares. That's why he, or she, asked...

And I'd like to know that too...is she a lesbian?

  • This Terry Lyne Carrington dude has some fire!

  • Cindy Blackman is the fucker and this chick is the fuckee.

  • @rrdrums110

Excuse me? You should really chill those kind of comments. It's funny that you use a forum like this to deal with your own issues. Might be less coward like if you came and talk to me personally (or anyone you comment on) with that kind of BS, then we would see where YOU fit in with with those words. Music is not about that and it's too bad your looking at it all wrong, cuz you're obviously missing the point. Feel free to look me up... Terri Lyne

  • @terrilyncarrington Too true Terri. Nice solo and real feel about it. Ignore the ignorant and continue playing with that passion. Peace

  • @terrilyncarrington

Please, don't argue with that kind of rude boy, you're too high for that. As we say in France: "the spittle of a toad does not reach the white dove " (French proverb).

Terri and Cindy are two of the best drummers in the world. Respect is needed here, but unfortunately YouTube lets rude people pour their shit out of their mouth (probably the only way they are capable to express themselves and to exist in this world full of beauty (too bad for them to be blind and deaf!)).

  • @rrdrums110

    What an intelligent comment!

You are a "connoisseur" I suppose?

  • O_O

  • She's the best. I luv this girl.. ofcourse she's also my cousin

  • shes my drum teacher at berklee

  • JEALOUS

  • Been to Boston/Berklee last week this September. Too bad I didn't see her. She is fantastic.

  • omg i hate u!!!!!

    sooo jealous

  • I just met her yesterday, and took a picture with her :D

She's an amazing woman, and makes funny faces while playing the drums.

But yeah, I met her at a Jazz Competition I went to yesterday.

  • dude, we ALL want to hear that

  • An easy tune to follow can also be made to sound like "a trapset falling down stairs". Besides, this shouldn'e be too hard to follow because the band is playing an ostinato behind her.

  • She's got great talent. It just didn't do much for me here. I guess it's just not the way I hear the translation. To each his own. Props on the technique, though!

  • honestly im not liking it. not saying i could do better, but she either shoulda played with the backround music or do a real solo.

  • hey this girl is awesome. She has a great feeling for the music. I saw her playing on futuretofuture DVD whit Herbie Hancock and other great musicians and is so fuckxxx great. awesome shops. and the most important is the GROOVE that she knows to keep like a comfortable SOFA for each musician. Terry knows when is her time. see you.

  • I just had the oppurtunity to play alongside this amazing woman. She came to my university as a guest artist and played with our Jazz Lab band. She radiates the joy of music. I swear there was not a cold heart in the crowd tonight.

  • Whoa! That's amazing. Big up Teri.

  • ey what can you do shes terri! whoah yeah

  • Is she good or what?

  • She used to be the House Band drummer for the Arsenio Hall Show. I saw her in Vancouver at a drum clinic.. with Wekyl, Kenny Arrinnoff.. she had the most groove !!

  • I thought there was a guy named Chuck who was the house band drummer for Arsenio

  • " Carrington was a bit of a prodigy, impressing many veteran jazz players while still a child, and was one of the first significant female drummers in jazz. Moving to New York City in the early 80's, she began to get gigs with many local muscians before gaining enough attention to warrant another move to California. It was there she was seen by millions on a nightly basis as a member of the band on the Arsenio Hall Show and worked well with Wayne Shorter's late-'80s band. "

  • no porn....not a bit of,she was a real child "Prodigy".
