i don't know what that guy, usias, is talking about. i like the tone of this movie. i think it grabs the attention of the less informed. some people shy away from the truth because it sounds foreign to them. we were all sheeple at one time.

Hi Pav. An example of where this policy has worked is our OWN country! Our country thrived with limited government. I believe that it will be great to turn this country back to capitalism. Somehow this country turned to socialist ideals and detracted from our capitalistic roots. RP is not trying to shut down government, he's just trying to systematically cut down it's size. One "institution" he's trying to cut spending in, is our military in bases overseas. Another institution is the IRS.

I was lazy in my comment and for that I apologize. My main argument is that laissez-faire did not work and so it was followed by the New Deal. In the course of almost a century, we added more "deals" in attempt to patch social problems. We've gone too far and we need to cut these out. Our country can't afford it nor can we afford this war in Iraq. I'm ok with programs to regulate laissez-faire but anything beyond that hurts us and it is not capitalism. Capitalism is fragile, but it can work.

i live in the UK but i will be flying into USA to support Ron Paul in Washington on July 12th 2008.
i do not want to be in the position to tell my kids that i had a chance to make a change and sat on my fat ass & did nothing.
a few hundred bucks in flights and a few days off work are nothing compared to the time and effort Dr. Ron has given to OUR service in his 20 years in congress.

My point is that we need big government to an extent. You can't just go around trying to destroy all the institutions that have been created to adapt to our country's rapid growth. I'm no fan of the war, the patriot act, or pork barrel spending. But we do need a lot of the institutions that Ron Paul wants to destroy. How about you give me one example of a successful country with a libertarian-style limited government that's considerable in size (no Monaco, or Micronesia BS)

Hi Pav. An example of where this policy has worked is our OWN country! Our country thrived with limited government. I believe that it will be great to turn this country back to capitalism. Somehow this country turned to socialist ideals and detracted from our capitalistic roots. RP is not trying to shut down government, he's just trying to systematically cut down it's size. One "institution" he's trying to cut spending in, is our military in bases overseas. Another institution is the IRS.

I was lazy in my comment and for that I apologize. My main argument is that laissez-faire did not work and so it was followed by the New Deal. In the course of almost a century, we added more "deals" in attempt to patch social problems. We've gone too far and we need to cut these out. Our country can't afford it nor can we afford this war in Iraq. I'm ok with programs to regulate laissez-faire but anything beyond that hurts us and it is not capitalism. Capitalism is fragile, but it can work.
