A Seagull brand tourbillon will set you back about $4,200 US dollars. A Seagull tourbillon movement in an non name brand about $800 US. Not bad for a real tourbillon. We have been brain washed by the Swiss that tourbillon NEEDS to cost in the 5 to 6 figure range. We all worship the Swiss brand without questions sometimes.
@ytwatcher very good point. considering how far technology has come in the past century, manufacturing these tourbillons shouldnt cost hundred thousands of dollars. While i very much appreciate the quality of swiss watches, sometimes i wonder if the swiss companies are selling their 'heritage/history' rather than watches. Apart from watches made out of precious metals, i don't understand why a stainless steel watch should cost more than 10k.
I don't have any auctions, but just do an ebay search for "flying tourbillon" or "center tourbillon" and you'll find a bunch of stuff, there's also one seller called minorva try a search for "minorva".
Also, don't ever spend more than $1000 dollars unless you really want a particular one, i just bought a flying tourbillon for 400 bucks because no one else placed a bid, so just look around.

HAHAHA I knew it! No credibility in any of your comments to me. THESE ARE NOT REAL TOURBILLIONS!! if you think so I have a Rolex I will sell you for $400. A disgrace to real time pieces. If you cannot afford a real tourbillion dont act like you have one. These will not stand the test of time, which you may have forgete in all your years as a horologist, is the true test of a watch. Your an idiot
The balance and escapement is rotating in their own axis. A tourbillon by definition you moron. The reason why it's so inexpensive is because they're highly mass produced and assembled by amateurs at best.
Dude you really are an idiot, you said a panerai is an ETA movement? Are you serious, there are many truly inhouse movements from panerai, the 2002 which I own is by far not an ETA mvmnt. You are crazy if you say it is an eta movment, earlier they had some like many other watch brands. I cannot believe what I am hearing, you are not making shit but a fool of yourself. I cant believe I could have had a copule hundred "flying tourbillions" instead i have these stupid swiss watches.
I never mentioned a Panerai here, and yes you actually could have bought a ton of these with what you spent on a Panerai, personally i wouldn't buy either one.
Personally, your a faggot, again I don't give a fuck what you would or would not do. Quit fucking emailing me homo! I know you would not buy a real watch we established that, go kill yourself or something. Really fuck off!! You emailed me saying a Panerai only has ETA mvmts. See what others have to say about that.
Earlier you said i sound like a child. Yet you're the one who only amounts to insults and name-calling. You're mind hasn't evolved past the point of a baby, you can't communicate properly so you just cry and call me names.
Why are you still even bothering? You barely know what you're talking about anyways, your only way of confirming a real tourbillon from a fake is from where it's made, you can't look at a watch and understand what it really is. You're also the only one calling Swiss watches stupid, i have nothing really bad to say about these tourbillon having handled a handful of them and i definitely don't see it as being bad just because it's from China, just like not every Swiss watch is all that great.
mmmh, these ARE real functional tourbillons...they are manufactured by sea-gull...they may not have the finish level of swiss watches, but they do work fine. As the thing with test of time...it is possible to repair these watches...but they are so cheap that buying a new one is less expensive than to maintain one

I'm making my own tourbillon, i don't need to buy watches, unlike you. Why don't you check Tempered forum and see what a real highend watch is.
