  • poor goldfish! :'c

  • i hate it u idoit :c

  • u my friend are n eel god!!!!!

  • Sick setup.

  • I like it(:

  • he did not have to try too hard!

  • love the eel i have a 22'' tassaletta eel ive had him a month and hes already ate 5 fish (4 xl damsels and a 6 1/2 inch lunear wrasse) any suggestions on getting him to stop

  • Just keep him alone in your tank, or get a large aggressive fish that can hold its own.

  • TessaIlata eels are awesome!!!! I agree with Runmanaburn. With that size eel you need to do large aggressive fish. I would stick with groupers, lion fish, triggers and puffers. I had problems with my eel trying to eat a 6" panther grouper I had, but this was when the eel was about two foot. Since then, he will not eat small fish at all, I guess its not worth it. I see it as us eating one chip, its just not worth it. Hopefully you will have the same luck as I do when he gets larger. Good luck!

  • I don't mean to brag, but last night I ate an 8" fatty, if you know what I mean. *flips her hair back*

  • you have a really nice eel but i think needs a 10ft tank at least + a 10ft would look really nice (are you ever going to upgrade ?

  • He is in the tank by himself at the moment. I dont think he needs a bigger tank as of now, but yes he will soon. I would like to get a new tank, but everyone knows the economy is in the crapper and plus I am a senior in college. I will probably get something when I graduate. untill then, hopefully he doesnt grow too much. Thanks for the comment!

  • NICE moray! whats the dimensions of this tank??Filtration?I think he would love a 8ftx3ftx2.5ft tank BUT he still looks very happy at the moment.Great job..im loveing that cave/tunnel/rock work thingy you made, looks good.

  • Thanks! The tank is 6ft long, 2ft tall, and 2ft wide in the middle, but the ends are 1.5ft. Its not a bad tank but I still want bigger. I will never have a tank big enough, if I get a 300gal i will still want bigger. Its a never ending process:) They eel does great in the tank but has become less active since the other fish are gone. I am currently looking into growing a lion and grouper in a smaller tank to eventually put with him, but we will see. Thanks for the comments everyone!

  • wow...that is pretty cool but kind of gruesome. i wish we had that big of a tank for our moray. we actually have another kind of eel in our tank too and he is almost as big as the moray but the moray is the coolest! i hope he doesn't get too big though. and yes, they are both well fed! did you buy yours or catch him? i bought ours for my hubby for father's day. the other one we have was caught by my hubby.

  • You have the same eel (green moray) and it will get much bigger. They get to be 10ft! Where did you catch yours? Mine was purchased from the local fish store. Be ready to get a bigger tank in a year or two. They are worth the money spent on a big tank.

  • Regarding the moray....

  • WOW! Do you have any plans to upgrade? That would be insane if you could keep that until adulthood.... I envy you! LOL

  • yes I do plan on upgrading. I'm trying to wait untill after I graduate college. Hopefully he wont out grow the 155 before then. I would love to have an 8-10 foot eel. I just dont want to upgrade to a tank that I will have to upgrade again in a year. So i'm trying to wait and just go real big.

  • Yeah.... I have that problem currently... I upgraded to my 125, but I am already in need of a 180+. I think that my final tank size for now will be a 240, what would you be looking at?

  • The problem is, no matter what the size of your tank is, you will always want a bigger one. I'm still not sure if I want to go 265/300 gallon manufactured tank, or go custom. There is a local pet place warehouse, its called "That Pet Place" and they had a 265with stand and lids for around $1500. Thats a great deal, but I kind of want a tank that is 2.5-3 foot wide. I am currently living with my parents (college student), it depends on how much money I have when I graduate and move out.
