They have very cheesy exchanges lacking in realism. In QAF US-version they were a lot more successful, at least initially, in creating a credible dynamic between Justin and Brian. Filmmakers especially in gay films ought to pick out carefully 2 characters for love-relations and scenes who have actual chemistry if they want to avoid actors reading lines and acting too obviously.
It's really quite amazing Gale Harold could pull of Brian so well without even being gay but he obviously liked...
