@mfenske78 Some of it is affordable but yeah, a lot of it is pricey. Transworld though is a closed event. You need to be a pro-haunter or have an invite to attend.

@kukalie83 If you bought from one of the vendors in the past - ask for an invitation. Then go sign up at the Transworld site. I got mine from Fright Props. A terrific company!

@kukalie83 Oh they make killer masks. Used their Chopper Charlie mask for hubby's costume last year (Zombie Apocalypse). Excellent quality and great people who work there.

@ubernoobly For me, I'd say a 5. They aren't as scary in bright daylight and you know they are props. But, installed in a dark haunt and you don't see it coming... a 20! ;)

Thanks Terra for sharing! I so wanted to go this year (especially since I have some friends that recently moved to Missouri that I could've stayed with). I couldn't get out of work, so maybe next year.

I see that the Scare Factory was in full effect (or would that be Effects?) again this year. I had a chance to tour their facility when I went to the MHC last year, which is located in C-bus. It's literally a FACTORY for making high end animatronics and props. It's a GoE dreamshop.

@Scaryladyvideos: So, by "electric" do you mean that they were animatronic, and had electric elements to them? Or, were they actually mostly run by electric motors? As opposed to pneumatic cylinders and actuators, that is.

@xREDGHOSTRIDERx Run by electric motors. Those hovering spectres and the zombie were electric motors. That giant at the end of the video was a blend of the two (electric motors and pneumatic).

@braneden It's free to attend but you have to be a pro-haunt owner or have an invitation. The Darkness is in St. Louis and it opens up for the show in two ways: Lights on to see the behind the scenes and live with actors.

1) Do you go to purchase props or to get ideas for your haunt?

2) Where do they hold such awesome shows in the US?

@nimofitze I do both. I try really hard not to buy too much but it's soooo difficult. I do gets loads of ideas though. Transworld is where I got the idea to do ChromaDepth 3D. This show is in St. Louis and is the biggest. There are other shows but all the vendors try to at least get to this one.
