I think i finally understand how she can ignite people using her "mind". Glucose is used to create energy, however, the conversion process of glucose to ATP is very poor and most of the energy is lost. It has been theorized, based on equations and observations of glucose's structure, that if 100% of the glucose energy was used at once it would combust along with the organism that was trying to use the energy. I suppose Eve can unlock that potential in other mitochondria and signal them.

@silverbolt77 Well, in the book, it doesn't act all evil and condescending. It just plainly says that it's gonna take over now and that it's had enough with 'nucleic domination', as both pointed in the book and video game. The speech scene was not done very well here. Over dramatics everywhere.

Silly as it may seem, it's still a creative and interesting take on sci-fi/horror. And besides, whether mitochondria is supposed to be emotionless is not the point: it's just a story. Chill, brah.
