  • Ahh, when comedy in Australia didn't have to rely on shitty sitcoms from the U.S

  • Paul Hogan got a friend in me !!!

  • O.O daaaaamn !!

  • Back in the days when we didn't have to wear helmets to ride a bike...

  • great video , i love it .

    greetings from greece !!!!!

  • Australia's answer to benny hill was he not?

  • A riot!

  • Brilliant! TV is fuckin shit now. I don't even watch it.

  • hahahahahaha cos the womans got a nice ass and the men are doing silly things because of it hahahahahahahahahahahah

  • 14 dislikes = 14 bush pigs watching a class act.

I don't get it the bush pigs helped remove this from tv and now they vote thumbs down on here. See us men have to stick together, this is innocent humour and if these feminists take this away well, the only place for us is in the shitter outback!

Paul Hogan what a Australian legend!

  • @SuperGravey bloody well right mate, Australia would never be on the map if it wasn't for his GENIUS! What he SINGLEHANDEDLY done for the Aussies is AWESOME mate! ;o)

  • @genxxxersize Have you ever seen "the adventures of barry mckenzie" he backdated hogan by a fair few years.

  • Haven't seen his old show in years ! Forgot how funny this was.

  • Oh maaaannnnnn, how much did I love Karen Pini! How Sexy and Hilarious is this??? How often have I and other guys gotten into spots being distracted by such a hottie??? Bless you Karen, you spunk!

  • holysh!t .....ahahahhahahaha......dundee a damn fool

  • I can't get over how empty of traffic the streets were in the 70s.These days every city and suburban street is chockas every day of the week.I remember playing cricket on the street and there was no danger of hitting a parked car.The only quiet time these days is on Christmas day and New Year's day. Then you simply have to avoid the dumbarse Asians who never walk on the sidewalk, always in the middle of the road, Hey slopes! Why do you do that?

  • Ha Ha Gold!

  • HAPPY 71st BiRTHDAY HOGES! (8 October 2010) i luved the PAUL HOGAN SHOW growing up in the 70's, especially this video ;-)

  • I'm in the States-back in '82, when I first got cable tv, my new fav shows were this one and Aussie Rules Football back on the then-new ESPN sports network....love Aussie humour & AFL 28 yrs on....

  • גבי מזוז

  • For the people who think it is Delvene Delaney in this sketch it's actually Karen Pini. My dad went to a Penthouse Magazine launch in the early 80s and got me a signed copy!! These Paul Hogan specials are brilliant. I remember them well.

  • Ah memories. Funny stuff!

  • The Benny Hill of Australia........Pure comedy magic

  • I mean that would be funny doncha' agree? see previous comment.

  • I wonder when the day will come when women will demand that boys whip out the "frank and beans" for comparisons and evalutation and comments in public. You know complete with whistles, vocals and or boos

I do wonder when that will happen. Don't you?

  • Hahah! so crude! love it!

  • Anyone who grew up around the Parkdale Mentone area of melbourne, @ 0:49 is that a Rix Motors tow-truck?

  • Last one is great :D

  • what is that song called?

  • @trueblueaussieFTW

The Pushbike Song by The Mixtures

  • :))))))))

  • Lovely Karen Pini on the bike; regards.

  • mmm nice ass!...LOL

  • hey nice video - funny clips

  • After seeing the Sydney Harbour Bridge it reminded me of the old Paul Hogan show and this was by far my favourite skit - it had never been done on Aussie TV at the time and I remember when I was about six thinking this was really really naughty! (which it was at the time for Aussie TV was very conservative back then).

  • The Paul Hogan show was class. Used to love watching it. In the UK, it would be on, on a Friday night usually about midnight.

  • What possible dangers could they be reffering to?

  • It's funny because it's true!

  • lol she:s ugly have you seen that fat arse?? and those legs hahah

  • I'm guessing you're either a homo or a virgin going by that comment, chermole?

  • fuck off tosser pull your balls out of your boyfriends mouth

  • @chermole Really, now. I'm guessing you're into anorexic women, then? I'm sorry, but I don't like skinny girls.

  • ♥

  • Aussie Benny Hill! Great stunts...

  • Do Not LOOK

  • God i'd cycle over a cliff if she was leading the way!

  • Very very clever.

People appreciate this sort of comedy because no one does that stuff these days. I mean there are funny shows but most aren't clever. Since technology wasn't fun in those days, comedy was the best invention out : )

  • This, and several UK shows around the same era, the(monty) pythons of course, rowan atkinsons original and continuing genius works, there are several others but as of late only one other I have found to have the true spirit of original comedy and that was the UK "The Sketch Show" . Especially the "All the leaves are brown" clips were brilliant [ = 100% agree! =D

  • Pure gold!

  • Watched this in the early 80's on Channel 4 - UK.

Brilliant show, I use to stay in on Friday night just to watch it!

  • he my 3rd cousin

  • Love this, paul hogan [Best actor] and im only 13 but i think this is soooo good!

  • Stuff political correctness. This is hilarious.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL at 0:59

  • this is the best comedy

  • Even though some of this show is corny, I just love watching it because it's Aussie history and it is so politically incorrect compared to today. People have become too uptight now.

  • yeah i agree, plus karen peeny had a hot arse...

  • The best comdey ive seen in a long time.

I'm only 15 years old but the old 70s and 80s comedy is funnier than todays

  • goed voor reclamen op de televisie uit te zenden.

  • I love it - so stupid and funny

  • So dumb

  • funny

  • very fffffffffffffffffffunnnnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyy

  • חחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחחח

  • haha!

  • her name is Karen pini

  • I wonder who is that girl on the bike?

  • I'm in the U.S. and this show was aired on the local PBS station in the 1980s. I remember this clip, along with Benny Five O, and their still hillarious. He also did a Star Wars parody I'd like to see again. I also remember other sketches that parodied McD's and KFC. Great to see these clips again, they just don't make TV like this anymore. I resent all the reality TV junk too.

  • no u may not get away with this now but u can make jokes of terminally ill kids aka the chasers

  • Splendid comment! Too true.

  • wouldn't get away with that now days. Thanks for that I needed a great laugh.

  • lauf my fukin ass off!!!!!!!!

  • even though i wasnt even alive in these days, TV now has gone down the shitter! its all turned into Australian spin offs of American reality TV bullshit

  • American TV ain't any better. TOOO many reality shows...and they all suck! Reality shows are cheap to make.

  • Hi ya Grogan

Here in the U.S. the ABC tried to copy the Australian TV program "Border Security" and it flopped. I like Border Security (the Australian version). I wish that Seven Network release Border Security on DVD also Nine Network release The complete series to The Paul Hogan Show on DVD. From The Music Shop, I did receive the DVD set of the Best of the Paul Hogan Show. I love it!

  • g'day NetFan

nice to hear that u enjoy some of our TV good onya mate :)

  • Brilliant-cheered me up no end!

  • omg aussie classic gemini at 0:20

  • Boris Johnson at 1.05

  • is it me or us Aussies always take the piss out of our self's? lol classic

  • Australian women are the best looking in the world. you can't argue with that.

  • lol I didn't know that Paul Hogan had his own comedy show. I only know him from the Crocodile Dundee movies, here in the UK. One of the best films of the 80's might I add :o)

  • mmm..nice ass!..lol.

  • UCI...tour de ass..

  • What does this clip have to do with bikes? I have been watching this clip for 30 years and I haven't seen one in it once!!

  • you looking at her sexy arse not the bike, lol

  • Hell of a good video!

  • lol what ever happened to karen pini?

  • Comment removed

  • Loved this show when i was a kid.Australia has changed so much.

  • Unfortunately American culture is creeping in.

  • 0:06 to 0:12 is really nice. I think the first one with the guy under the bonnet was the funniest.

  • Did you notice the old Red Rattler passing by in the background?

  • no -where?

  • Just as the policeman is reacting to getting his foot run over by the car, you can see it passing by in the background. (How do you know what a Red Rattler is anyway? Aren't you just 14?)

  • lol yeah...my grandfather showed me all these pictures of old trains, and I just remember the red rattler. XD

  • I remember watching this as a kid! Anyone remember Superdag?

  • LOL that part from 00:27 to 00:38

  • no from 00:42 to 00:48

    XD

  • well duh it's australian and it's paul hogan not like the pommy benny hill

  • Brilliant, this one's as good as any Benny Hill. The show had a few flat spots, but very good highlights.

  • Superb, Thanks for posting this.

I'll be smiling for the rest of the day.

  • Are all Australian women that pretty? And if so, how do I apply for a visa?

  • some of the ones around mount druitt are pretty

  • @categoryD U from the druitt bud..well all i know is its full of ugly fuckin wog bitches

  • @33oj 1. i was being sarcastic. and 2. why do you knock the wogs?

  • @lebo8u Because they stink,There rude and its becoming like spot the aussie

with all these Moari,Tongan Mother fuckers they think they are real tough hanging around in packs at nightime waiting for some one to bash or rob and yes it has nearly happened to me THEY DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT AUSTRALIA SO IF I HAD A CHOICE THESE COCKROACHES WOULD BE FUCKIN SHOT DEAD

  • Im afraid not Most are fairly ordinary. I actually married a filipina She is 40 now has had 4 kids and still looks 16...

  • markpp1963 said "Im afraid not Most (Australian women) are fairly ordinary. I actually married a filipina She is 40 now has had 4 kids and still looks 16"

Anyone who marries a Philippino 'Mail-Order-Bride' is rarely in a position to call Australian women "fairly ordinary"

No doubt you had a great deal of trouble attracting Australian women on your own merits and had to buy an inferior foreign model instead

Does she still say "Me love you long time for Pifty dolla"? and look like Rose Porteus?

  • Good call mr clown She actually holds up very well in the looks department..And as for the 50Peso long time i beleive the rate is probably higher but tell be which woman dosnt cost??PS she loves shoes...

  • actually its lar u lor tie tew dorra... LMAO

  • Clownfight- LOL. When the money runs out, she'll be gone. Filipinas marry strictly for business.

Oh, gawd- Rose Porteus!! I've just eaten breakafast-- ack....arrrgh...chunder!

  • LOL. Fillipino woman have a problem with gamgling too. We had a neighbor that used to have a slot machine ediction, would end up owing money so ended up going on the game.

  • Diver- Filipinas are the most hard-headed, unsentimental females in the world, and they excel at faking love and affection.

  • I noticed that, she married her American hubby for a meal ticket.

  • They all do, Diver. Anything to escape from the Philippines! I have not known ONE such marriage that lasted once the money problems began.

  • yes, especially in melbourne and city. both very multicultural cities so u get an exotic mix. Come on down!

  • Twenty odd years later, and this still cuts the mustard. This guys clever and it shows, very imaginative. You just dont see this sort of thing now, a bloody good laugh and who gives a toss whos offended. A different generation, and all those politicaly correct bores. TV and entertainment in general has just lost its way. Thats why the ratings are shyte. Sorry.

  • Here here, totally correct. We are scared of the day we never saw now and it is bang out of order.

  • Trouble is no going back, damn gay fuckers and there political correctness fucked us all over never again will we see the likes of such entertainment.

  • anybody think that Hogan as the old boy with the shovel in the middle of the vid looks strangely like Boris Johnson?

  • I think he looks more like Arthur English from "Are You Being Served."

  • LMAO..LMAO!!!

  • Looks like this was filmed near the Yarra River in Melbourne lol!!

  • that's because it was

  • We need more stuff like this on the tele!!! LMAO!!

  • LMAO

  • good onya hoges.

  • Muff0, unfortunately too much Americanism has crept into TV that's why in one way.

  • She's not wearing a helmet.

  • Of course, the woman riding the bike is none other than Karen Pini, Australian Playboy's first ever Playmate of the Month... Very tasty!

  • A girl like that on a bike (or anywhere) just never goes out of style!.....Does anyone have a clip where he rides his motorcycle inside a cage?

  • hahaha LOL when was this made i've never seen it before.

  • Does anyone have a clip of the Paul Hogan show when he was describing how a 6 year old always digs down into the loaf of bread because the first few slices are poisoned?

  • i remember that clip fondly but don't have it i'm afraid. the whole show was gold

  • *GASPS* That was his "re-live your school days" sketch! I remember it well. He makes a Vegemite sanger (a sandwich with a yeast extract spread), makes a mess of mixing the butter with the Vegemite and vice-versa and makes a point of not wrapping it in Glad Wrap (cling-film) but paper and stores in a school kid's port (school-bag).NB: The translations in the parentheses are for the Merkins and some Gen Zs.

  • ive got that scene on DVD if that helps lol

but it is sooo true the first few slices really are poison lol

btw thats the skit when he is describing how to make a sandwich from his childhood

  • Why dont they make tv like this anymore?

  • lol

  • the song is 'the bicycle song' by bonzo dog doo-dah band. it is a direct rip-off from mungo jerry's 'in the summertime'

I loved this show when it was aired in the UK. Paul Hohan was a bit like an Aussie Benny Hill with his saucy humour. that's why it appealed to me! Long live the Ocker!

  • The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah band DID NOT originally record this song - Aussie band The Mixtures did this. Admittedly, they recorded it in a similar style to Mungo Jerry's "In The Summertime" as a tribute. Funnily enough, Mungo Jerry later went on to record their own version in 1990!

But, no, the great Bonzos did not do it. Thought i'd correct your information.

  • I like Hill, but Hoges was much better than Hill. With the exception of Hill's Chinaman sketch (where he was actually having a dig at the Brits) Hoges was more than just t*ts-n-ar$e and botty jokes. He was taking the piss but it was in a reverent way, if that makes any sense.

British and Aussie humour does not seem to depend on blunt sarcasm -- like American humour -- to be funny.

  • she is fucking hot

  • gotta love 70's aussie TV.Thinkin back,I cant beleive my parents let me watch it.

  • no its there other brother ben hogan

  • Paul Hogan is not dead you silly coot. that Wrestler from america is Hulk Hogan, not Paul you galah

  • That is sad, loved paul hogan, just looked him up utube after many years, and hear he is dead, within the week, classic comedy, really was.

  • he isnt dead u tool. Im good friends with his twin grandchildren and ide be one of the 1st to no. He aint dead!!!

  • Paul Hogan died August 11 2007 of a heart attack. RIP Paul Hogan. You will be sadly missed my friend.

  • Nope, Paul Hogan is definitely still very much alive and well. Must be some mis-information there.

  • Suckers. nthin like starting a rumour.

  • Lardor, if Paul Hogan died, it'd be front page news in Australia.

  • he isnt dead u douche

  • Classic aussie comedy at its best !

  • This rules, Hogan was amazing in his heyday!

  • lets see more he was on tv for a short time in my area didnt see meny showes

  • Now that's funny!

  • Whats The Tune Called?

  • This was a hit for the mixtures in early 70s called the pushbike song

  • Used to watch Paul Hogan when I was a kid in Ireland he was legend. Brilliant stuff. Austrailian humour any day over American.

  • Hoges was and still is the funniest bugga I've seen in OZ. Weve declined into smut full on now, aaaah not a patch on this bloke.

  • What are you carping on about? Karen Pini was a real good sort, she was the only reason I use to watch Lotto when I was a kid.The Paul Hogan Show was a great laugh too!!

  • Karen Pini a hottie? Her face looks like a smashed crab for fuck's sake!!

  • I would love to see Paul Hogan on DVD. So many great skits. I remember one about a pizza place exploding and Ronald McDonald was involved.

  • Hi,C.We Aussies have a love-hate rel'p with our 'ocker' humor as we long to be thought erudite & sophisticated ,but it is alive & well.Google 'Kath & Kim','The Castle','Kenny'' for the best e.g.s of Aussie humour.Check out clips from 'The D-Generation,Full Frontal,Fast Forward on YT. Also,go to the BBC radio website. There is a great radio doc on Oz comedy there. We still have this SOH.We still love to laugh at 'saced cows'.Enjoy!

  • FYI:the lady who gets dirt shovelled into her basket is Jason Donovan's Mum,Sue MacIntosh.(half-sister of Neighbours star Stephanie Macintosh)

  • HAHAHAHA

    hilarious

  • Could someone outthere upload the original MV of `the Pushbike Song' by the Mixtures to this site please ! Thanks a lot.

  • RStrathfield had the video clip on his page but his account got suspended. Media attention unfortunatley always brings the ACCC and Anti-Piracy watchdogs on you before you can say "copyright infringement".

  • are the good old days were Australian Comedy was funny unlike todays level to much PC in it

  • LOL!!! And I mean it, that was good! :-)

  • What a champ

  • He is a farking legend

  • Good stuff. We want more

  • Ah, the good old days when Australian comedy shows were funny. And Australian.
