Overall the plot of the movie wasn't impressive and there wasnt any huge battle scenes. But instead this movie delivers very detailed and realistic skirmishes. These Terminators felt more like real robots than those transformers. Transformers is just bunch of toys with fake but "eyecandying" action fighting scenes.

I will agree that terminator should move on without Arnold cus he's getting too old but I don't agree with the new terminator pick. I think you need someone meaner and more dangerous looking and Kickinger just doesn't give me that vibe.
i'm still gonna be a little skeptical about this movie that won't have arnold in it. But Christian Bale i dont think has ever been in a bad movie, he's a great actor and i think if you give this movie a chance it will be pretty good. It will probably be tough to swallow for true Terminator fans though.

man the future was changed, quatum physic relating time. knowning about the future and try to change it the outcome would be different, meanig in t2 they where trying to stop skynet, hence skynet change its tactic also. rather slaving and slowly radicating the human race it trying the wipe them out early to prevent the resistance for from growing or starting. it really no brainner(misspell sorry).
Man this movie looks good. I can't wait to see the next two after this. Yes people, the people making this film said they are going to make two more movies like this after this one to tie all the movies together.
What I mean from being a different war, is that the original SkyNet was destroyed in T2, however, the development of advanced AI continued, so SkyNet was reborn in a different manor. With the war set farther back to start lets say 2012 (b/c they never give answer to what date it really is in T3), so the middle of the war is 2018 (date in T4) and the war continues to its climatic end (say 2029, like in the original timeline, the one Kyle Reese is from) and SkyNet is finally destroyed. The End.
I know some of you probably don't like Sarah Connor Chronicals and T3 (how they are going to link them together is beyond me, but I do hope the series finale of SCC will led into T3, just for conitinuty sake), but the Terminator War starts at the end or shortly after the end of T3, and its a different war than the one Kyle Reese came from. As for the Terms not having plasma weapons yet, they are probably still developing them and use mini-guns as standard hand weapons for Term soldiers and grds.
Granted it is a spin-off, but it follows the events after T2, with Sarah and John uncertain if SkyNet is truly gone. Besides, with the advent of hidden resistance time-machines, they could go back to a certain time, say a couple of years before T3 happens, we just dont know what the ppl writing/producing the show have in-store for us.We will just to have to wait and see how it finally turns out to see how it flows with the Terminator universe. Than again, you could be right, we will wait and see
It is already known officially and has been stated by the producers numerous times that Sarah Connor chronicles exists in a separate continuity than the T3 and T4 films.
I guess i missed that press conference. Lol, its not that I don't like the show, but it would make more sense if it flowed with the rest of the Term universe, as it would eventually lead into the T3 time-frame (a couple of years prior), telling John Connor that all of his actions really didn't mean anything.
looks really really bad. Why they have to do same like movies than other "future war" -movies... all other Terminators are so much better than this. Can see it from this trailer... Why they dont continue where it ends at Terminator 3...
The future war thing hasn't been done all that much save for the flash-forward scenes from the other Terminator films. Also, please wait till the movie comes out before you bash it, I'm sure it will at LEAST be better than T3.

just a funny thinking. i think the futur has changed, as the judment day has changed, the timing. it supposed to happen earlier but bkuz of the second movie, somehow to story changed a bit.
and in this one prob they gonna change the face of the terminator saying u change the story so the robot choose a different face.

I will agree that terminator should move on without Arnold cus he's getting too old but I don't agree with the new terminator pick. I think you need someone meaner and more dangerous looking and Kickinger just doesn't give me that vibe.

i'm still gonna be a little skeptical about this movie that won't have arnold in it. But Christian Bale i dont think has ever been in a bad movie, he's a great actor and i think if you give this movie a chance it will be pretty good. It will probably be tough to swallow for true Terminator fans though.

man the future was changed, quatum physic relating time. knowning about the future and try to change it the outcome would be different, meanig in t2 they where trying to stop skynet, hence skynet change its tactic also. rather slaving and slowly radicating the human race it trying the wipe them out early to prevent the resistance for from growing or starting. it really no brainner(misspell sorry).

What I mean from being a different war, is that the original SkyNet was destroyed in T2, however, the development of advanced AI continued, so SkyNet was reborn in a different manor. With the war set farther back to start lets say 2012 (b/c they never give answer to what date it really is in T3), so the middle of the war is 2018 (date in T4) and the war continues to its climatic end (say 2029, like in the original timeline, the one Kyle Reese is from) and SkyNet is finally destroyed. The End.

I know some of you probably don't like Sarah Connor Chronicals and T3 (how they are going to link them together is beyond me, but I do hope the series finale of SCC will led into T3, just for conitinuty sake), but the Terminator War starts at the end or shortly after the end of T3, and its a different war than the one Kyle Reese came from. As for the Terms not having plasma weapons yet, they are probably still developing them and use mini-guns as standard hand weapons for Term soldiers and grds.

The soin off TV series has no link to T3 or this film. Its a completely separate story following on from T2.

Granted it is a spin-off, but it follows the events after T2, with Sarah and John uncertain if SkyNet is truly gone. Besides, with the advent of hidden resistance time-machines, they could go back to a certain time, say a couple of years before T3 happens, we just dont know what the ppl writing/producing the show have in-store for us.We will just to have to wait and see how it finally turns out to see how it flows with the Terminator universe. Than again, you could be right, we will wait and see

It is already known officially and has been stated by the producers numerous times that Sarah Connor chronicles exists in a separate continuity than the T3 and T4 films.

I guess i missed that press conference. Lol, its not that I don't like the show, but it would make more sense if it flowed with the rest of the Term universe, as it would eventually lead into the T3 time-frame (a couple of years prior), telling John Connor that all of his actions really didn't mean anything.

The future war thing hasn't been done all that much save for the flash-forward scenes from the other Terminator films. Also, please wait till the movie comes out before you bash it, I'm sure it will at LEAST be better than T3.
