You raise solid points I partially agree with. Ego's good. But according to you, Jordon didn't need a team to achieve championships. Incorrect, he did. Football teams, don't need to play as a unit to win. They do. While A is A, you don't account for when A is B, or when you have A, but it fails at a task & becomes C. Your logic error is that if everyone is selfish & egoistic, who watches TV? Only those ON it. Others have no interest in anything that doesn't benefit them. TV would just...end

On one hand I agree, but on the other, I do not. If self-interest were truly as virtuous as you seemed to imply, would we have had the current economic meltdown, set into motion by the insatiable and institutionalized greed on Wall St.?
On the other hand, there are examples where you can function as a member of a group, with a leader, and with shared responsibility, and accomplish great things - great things that you simply could not accomplish as an individual.
