@MrEmeryDonn In fact i'm planning on starting making tutorials! They wont be as nicely filmed as this one though, they may be bad at knitting, the quality of their videos is awesome (:
@Goanna1993 you're going to want to purchase circular needles. you connect the first cast-on stitch with the last-cast on stitch...i would youtube a video. circular knitting is quite easy when you get the hang of it.
@Goanna1993 you could also knit the scarf length out and then lie it end to end and seam it together with yarn. Because if you knit it on circular needles you'd need to cast on as many stitched as you wanted it long and then knit up the width, but if you knit it out then seam it together than you cast on the width and knit out the length.
Just saw you on world news! So awesome you are pursuing your dreams. I just subscribed to your channel, hope it happens for you. Don't 4get the little and check my channel. Cheers!
this video makes it look so much harder than it really is...im 22 and ive been knitting for 9 years. if my grandmother taught me like that I probably wouldn't be doing it still today. I recommened a knitted cast-on for beginners so you can get the movement of the knit stitch down. the performs the knit stitch okay. and casting off can be done quicker than that...I'm sorry but go to another video guys.
@aboyd2012 I honestly thought it looked really weird the way they did the stitch, I hold the yarn between my first 2 fingers on my left hand and then wrap the stitch without letting go of the needle, it's hard to explain but much simpler and quicker.
@ManaBear24 it sounds like you guide your yarn like you would in crocheting. a very effective way to keep your tension even! the way they did/explained the knit stitch in the video baffled me. I'm so glad I wasn't tought that way.
Knitting is very easy. I taught myself from a youtube video and knitted a whole scarf the next two days. I've never seen a bind off like that though. Interesting. I love knitting and hopefully one day I can become advanced enough to knit a sweater. Sweaters are like the ultimate way to prove that you're an advanced knitter. I'd love a geometric sweater. I guess I should start working on my colorwork skills... :S
@BlazeKennedy100 sweaters are actually quite easy! Just some increases and decreases for shaping! and seaming of course if you plan to do it in parts. I woulod check out ravelry.com if you arent a member already. Great patterns and tons of groups that can help you if you come to a "snag" in a pattern. Hope I've helped! And look me up if you'd like. I'm KatamariLuv on there! Good luck!
i was actually thinking about making a scarf or headband similar to this and when i started my first project my grandmother started it for me so im so glad i now know how to cast on and off!
also the worst cast-off method I've ever seen. @MrEmeryDonn is absolutely right :(

countless books and videos simplified into a 2 minute tutorial. none of it made sense till now, thanks for your post.
summbuddy1 1 month ago
that's the worst way of casting of i've ever seen, that way it could slip away and the whole scarf could break down!

Do you move the knot to the other needle before you cast it?
iluvedisonchen 4 months ago in playlist iluvedisonchen's favorites
@iluvedisonchen do the knot really loose and put the needle in the gap you can see it in the video at 0:25
