I was always curious about all my white friends having Cherokee Indian Princess ggg-grandmothers. I had know idea there were so many kingdoms in the southern US. Being white myself, yet native american-blood deprived, I always felt a bit awkward & serf-like.
i know how annoying it is when people ask you weird questions like that is beautiful hair (when you have otter skins wrapped around your hair to make it seem long)or nice costume! when its outfit or regalia...(because costume is a little bit bad because people spend hours on end to make it). the people usually don't mean harm, they are just curious.

did you know that alot of people have shown respect for our customs? so it would be good in the long run to have people wanting to embrace and learn about our customs. because it would keep our customs alive for a few more years.

well to be literal... there are "pure blooded" "white" and "black" natives...
Melanism - increased amount of black or nearly black pigmentation (as of skin, feather, or hair)
Albinism - lack of pigments in the eyes, hair, feathers, and skin which makes them seem completely white
leucism - same with Albinism except with the fact of the eyes being unchanged.
Vitiligo - it is a condition which pigments in the skin start to fade away. meaning from dark-pale. Michael Jackson is a perfect example.

That is so true. There are so many white people who tell me my great great great grandma was Cherokee and Black Foot Indian. Then there are the blackest black people that come up to me and asking are you Indian,and say they are Cherokee,then they have the nerve to ask me if my hair is real? LOL. I;m like why,you want to cut it and glue it to your head?

Yes, very funny of the wannabes. It's as though I walk up to you and you see me as a Native American Indian (NDN) and I tell you my great great grand maw was full blooded African American and my Great great grand paw was full blooded White or Englishman and the kk klan will not let me join their group. Because i would be a Wannabe White. Thank goodness I'm a full blood NDN.

You don't have to be tan with black hair to be indian. Meny of the Tunica-Biloxi people on the rez have pale eyes skin. I have also met an indian who does not want to be. CDIB is not ranked by %.Your mom, dad and your grand parents can tell you they are part Indian, that making you think you are also part Indian. If you family is not a member of a Trib, Reconized by the Federal BIA. Then you are not Indian. IF you want to check your back ground to see if you have a family member that is. Check with your local city library. It will not be easy. Lots of paper work to go through.

Alot of the East coast indians look full black or full white....however in alot of cases they carry more than 10 tribes blood in their veins...how many different tribe's blood you have in your vein??? How many different tribe's existance rest on your shoulders? you really do need to learn YOUR history more before trying to have a battle wits with someone that ACTUALLY does know the history.
You next Native American studies lessons you should study is the East coast tribes who barely have ANY full blood left of THEIR tribes and without them mixed blood east coast indians still keeping THEIR tribe's culture alive then their tribes would have died out in the 1800's.

I thought native american "traditional" teachings says that no one owns the land, so how can you claim the land is yours if you say no one owns the land??? let's see.....what is "traditional" indian culture hmmmm Animal teeth and bone for jewlery, animal skin for clothes, drinking from lakes and rivers, feathers, celebrating the seasons, killing other indians, wearing some feathers, using indians from other tribes as slaves, tattoos on the face, paint on the body, hunting animals, worshiping the sun as god, painting on rocks, well I guess that covers everything "traditional". Well you know many China people came to America during the gold rush, many of them today claim they are indian so they can get Casino profits that is not theirs. Alot of today's Chinesse had claimed they was indian because they thought they could get free land, this was very big among the Arizona area during the 1900's.

I noticed you are creek and apache....you are aware of their history right? many many whites and blacks married them..and many white women was part of them two tribes....sorry man but I've seen your picture also and your not full blooded....you have some white blood in you somewhere....in fact creek chief Mcintosh was half white and half creek.....and beads was something trading to the creeks and apache by the whites...beads did not come from America.
