@browncow11000- i remember this as a kid from tv in 1974. It's very addictive, still. I like the way this performance adds original '74 b&w footage. The band do a great job here.
Sparks has long been one of my favorite music artists. Way ahead of their time. I've just started looking at their videos on YouTube, but so far this one is my favorite--though it's live, it conveys the excitement and unique style of their music.
This originally came out in 1974 but it is totally undated. This band were seriously ahead of their time - and very influential on a range of new wave and post punk acts in the UK and thereon to what became "alternative".
The guitarist and drummer are just loving it aren't they and why not, it's not everyday you can take part in a classic like this. Awesome... what a great post!!!
@Bodebodango i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE russell, but i respectfully disagree. NO ONE could EVER replace freddie. they are 2 absolute music geniuses and neither could ever replace either. both are awesome in their own unique ways. however, it would have been super awesome if QUEEN and SPARKS could have done some sort of collaboration at some point back in the day...how freaking cool would that have been? =)~
What I meant to say is after his death! Freddies voice was the best at Live Aid and even then he sounded his best in the studio! Russel can still bring the falsetto and would have sounded way better than the shite I saw at the Hollywood bowl a couple years ago with the new Queen! There is not a lot of queens songs Russel could not hit, trust me I love Queen and Freddy but when it comes down to brass tacks Russel at his age is an amazing vocalist and could easily give Queen there old sound back!

Christie Haydon. She is also an actress and has (I think) had a recurring role in one of the Star Trek series.
Not only is she talented, but beautiful too.
And this coming from a homosexual male.

"Universally Cherished"? Yeah, not so much in the U.S.
Although Ron and Russell are from L.A., few here have heard of them here, alas.
"A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country." Nobody has heard of Sparks in the U.S.
Except me--a fan since 1974
