people get "crossed'' because as jazz says the defender just wants to try and steal the ball. streetball involves quick dribbles and alot of "carries" so when the defender tries to go for the ball the offensive man can just blow pass by. if they play ACTUAL D you won't see this. true the players shouldn't reach in and they probably know it but it gets frustrating that the offensive man keeps toying with you
