It might seem strange to criticize cartoons, but, come on, son, you still need to be rooted in reality. Age old skeletons tossing around rock creatures? Police helicopters with laser cannons and missiles?
I'm pretty sure he's talking about lifespans....I mean the redwoods remember the first Inhumanoid war, which was 2000 years ago....it just follows, does it not?
20 years later and...the whole "Humans lived for 2000 years" doesn't seem so far fetched...although it is more like 5000-6000 years. Egyptian civilization that is.
I think Dr Bright meant that a human's life does not last 2000 years like Redwood's. Not that human species has lasted for less than 2000 years. In a 70-80 yrs lifespan, you cannot be patient as these creatures are...
i know, it's a sad trend that it didn't continue on like this. fuck captain planet, this is way more exciting! and it could've taught a lot more useful information!
No good for selling toys though. Actually it's the principle weakness of this series, there's not enough distinct personalities amongst the supporting cast, espescially the Redwoods.
They could have at least given Redland a "crown" of branches or something...
I have to say-I videotaped all the episodes of Inhumanoids for my son in the 80's...but there was a certain one which completely freaked him out and I had to erase it. The one where the monster eats the guy and pukes him out? Anyone remember that one? If anyone finds it-please share it! Because now he's a young adult and thinks he can handle watching it....lol.
Inhumanoids scared a lot of kids...but they kept watching anyways; People love being 'scared yet safe' thus the appeal of horror movies. The episode where Gagoyle eats one of them and spits him out is either called "The Evil Eye" or whatever episode comes after it.
That was some of the flack this cartoon got back then. The other is that D-Compose was too "demonic!" Since I was "taught" I just plain knew better, so as a kid I was just simply able to enjoy this as a mere "cartoon" lol.
There were a lot of complaints filed by those media watchdog groups who felt the series was too violent and horrific, which is oddly enough exactly why kids who saw it then are the same adults who still love it.

"If humans lived 2000 years, maybe we wouldnt be in a hurry either."
Just something about that phrase doesnt compute right. Unless hes talking each individually, humans have lived far more then 2000 years.

And who else to protect the enviroment than the Redwoods and the Grainites....which are part of the enviroment themselves? :)

Exactly! There should've been a race of female water mutors. ^.^

I like how you think. ~gives you a cookie~
I'd love to see an ongoing series of Inhumanoids without Earthcor, just the Redwoods, Granities and the other fighting the monsters. :)

Yeah, just as there is Liquid Nitrogen, there is Liquid Oxygen. Liquid Oxygen is extremely cold; it's boiling point is −183°C.

all gases can be converted to liquids.
