  • Great video, have had a problem with my left shoulder for a while now and I think the reason might be down to the fact that I only do push ups. Hopefully doing pulls ups as well will rectify this, so thanks!

  • An excellent method to use while working towards increasing your push-up is; Progressive push-ups. Start out just doing 5 push-ups for 5 sets. Each day do an additional push-up or set. After several months you should be able to do 20 sets of 10 push-ups. I can currently do 50-10 within an hour, its incredible.

  • @armenianderick yes almost the same muscles but from a different angle, if you can do pullups do them and go with your hands wide as you can to get a better muscle activation, pullups are the best exercise to widen your torso

  • @badboy4lyfe88 I can probably do 40 push ups and 12 chin ups (tops) but if i grab a chair and support my legs from behind my body, I can knock out a lot and still feel it. Im just hoping its a good complementary muscular systems.

  • yo elliott, i have a question that i really need a answer to. I have been lifting and squatting for a little over 2 years now and iv gotten really good at at it. I feel like im really strong when it comes to lifting my legs. But when it comes to sprinting, running statiums, and any kind of stop and go motion that requires me to drive with my legs, i find that i become burnt out very fast. have been over training my legs to the point that they are strong but have no endurance at all?

  • @ttolmie Find Adam T. Glass on youtube he mainly dose grip strength videos but he has been doing some great squat routines and he is a personal trainer, like Eliot he is different then the normal.

  • GOLD! Not so much for the push ups part, but the balance between pushing and pulling muscles and its importance. I think I will focus more on my back for the next month and see if this shoulder pain goes away. Meaning, I will start with my back excersices, then do my front, and not so heavy.

    Im beginning to think that the reason I cant lift more is because my back is not as developed as my front.

  • i have basically done the opposite. I have put more stress on my pull ups/ chin ups and what not and i feel that my pulling surpasses my pushing. should i just throw in push ups everytime i do pull ups?

  • @dbzfighterz i have the same problem. my friend put me on to the handles. you can get them at walmart for a couple of bucks and it gives you a bar to grip rather than your hand flat on the floor. that's the only way I can do them with out wrist pain.

  • My regular workout consists of many different types of pushups for a prolonged time..this video is most interesting to watch. This is good verification of what I've been doing is right. Though I just started off by doing man pushups haha. I do an average of 70 as of now...

  • Pushups, any calinsthetics can be improved just by simply doing more VOLUME. Just build up your muscle endurance, simple. Its not like getting stronger lifting weights where you have to overload your CNS.

  • @mbsfaridi i put a closet rod across two counters in my kitchen. It also works if you have any type of bar that can support your weight and two chairs. you just have to get a little creative.
