Also, watch out for being too position-conscious and too "pretty-swing" oriented. That's a serious disease these days. Think about consistency of contact and how close the ball finishes to where you aimed it.
Awfully big motion for an 8-iron--and the fact that you're mentioning the distance makes me wonder whether you're too conscious of trying to hit even your short irons a pretty long way. Sorry if that's an overread, but I'm just saying...just about every pro could hit the short and middle irons 10-15 yards longer than he does, but almost all of them back off for control and trajectory.
yea pretty much what trob said but the inwards of the knee, i was once told to do so cuz i had a problem of lifting my right foot to much so i guess it helped. looks like a good swing tho keep at it.
i noticed the inward bow of the knees...my guess is this helps you make a turn and not sway....8 iron your hands should be in front of the ball a bit on your set up...it looks like you lose your angle a bit too.....come down steeper on the inside(w/o seeing your back view)....i can tell by looking at your divid...the bow knees puts you into an early backswing position...everyones swing is different...heck i kick my right knee before i start my swing which is close to the same
Only fine tuning left. Nothing major. The best thing I have ever heard a pro say is that it doesn't matter how you do it but what you do. Too many people search for somebody else's perfect swing. Just ask Trevino, Watson, or any of those guys and you would get a similar answer. Good swing and keep it up.
Only thing i'd say is do u hit the ball very high? coz it looks like ur hands dont get infront of the ball at impact. And it looks a bit wristy, other than that a very nice tempo and good width to the swing
i see something wrong with this swing. your knees are too close together at address. spread your knees up to a stance parallel to your shoulders. then you should be fine. you should hit it 5 or 10 more yards with more control
In fact...if you freeze the video a couple of frames before your finish you are basically in Tiger's finish position. It just so happens that you go a little past it in the next few frames but that just shows that you have good flexibility and that you flowed through the hitting area without tension.
You can mostly disregard that comment I made about your finish if you're getting good results from your swing. It really is a great looking swing. When I see it, I see shades of Tiger Woods.
I like the impact position, weight on left, hands ahead. You're going to get ball first contact, lots of spin, and lots of distance. If you really want me to point out something negative, your finish position is a little too wrapped around. Yes it shows you have no tension and you have flexibility but it just doesn't look that good and maybe is a sign of being a little out of control. David Leadbetter actually worked with Michelle Wie to tone down her wraparound finish.
Well mister brown golfer. Your swing looks good and from this angle I see no faults. Very much like ernie els. A golfswing is very much a personalized thing and although there are a few thing that you shouldn't do the only thing that really matters is ball flight. I also can't make judgements about your game and how you hit the ball from this video so you shouldn't do that about mine either.
hey man pretty good swing just straighten those knees out...it helps with posture but keep workin at it

hitting the ball high has noting to do with getting your hands ahead of your body at impact. look at a pros swing in slo mo

Only bad things are slightly bowed knees at start of swing... apart from that it's all great

Well..you seem to raise your head up at impact...which means that you changed your spine angle at the downswing.
