fun fact: the "Style" switch is a mid-contour. i gigged a BA115 in parallel with an Ibanez 100w combo for about a year with an old bar band. i LOVED that combo. great stuff...

and if you think 60lbs is heavy, my rig after the Ampeg was a Peavey tour 700 through a 100lbs 4x10 >:D cool review bro

The his is from the tweater, if recording, just hook it up via the Di and the his is gone!

or you can disconnect the tweater, but you will loose some of teh sharp high's

I would get a squier but they don't have the classic vibe in 5 string and I prefer 5's . . .

Dude the amp like nearly destroys the camera mic . . . too bad it can't get the full sound quality of the amp . . .

well, i got every thing used, because i spent my life savings on my new bass (my parents were pissed, i kinda didn't tell them tell they saw the new bass)

only new part was the power amp but in total $1600 or so?

that it's been two years in the making though,

when i can i'll post of vid with it all, but currently my camera's SD card had 2GB which on it is like 1 minute of filming =S lol

Yeah, I do. I actually switch between pick and fingers. Sometimes even in the same song.

Also, after this amp, I would probably buy another Ampeg. Perhaps an SVT full stack or a half stack and tubes all the way.

This is cool, I've been looking into bass amps, since i currently have to play through a marshall halfstack guitar amp and I play guitar and it just doesnt sound as good when i play it at school through the bass amps...anyways very nice review this would be a perfect addition!

The amp is blowing away the camera microphone. I had the same problem until I turned the volume way down. I also don't get all that hiss. Maybe it comes from the tube as I have the BA115 without the tube.
