wei pisses me off so much. I have 7.5 everything and then when it comes to the hard drive i get 5.9. Almost everyone i know has the same base score 5.9 its useless.

@TheXtraGuy You need an SSD (solid state drive) to get any higher, I believe the higherst rating you can get with a 7200RPM HD is 5.9.

Even in RAID 0, my harddrive score is just 5.9 (2x Seagate 500 GB).

The rest of the system is above 7 , so I guess it's solid state time.

7.5/7.9 is the average for 7200rpm HDD, but with my 8gigs ram, I am paging a lot less, so my HDD have little impact on performance. 64-bit apps all the way.

you just OCed the core clock and got such a performance boost, I was running my CPU at 700mhz, to high I guess.
