In the morning I drink a smoothie that consists of coconut water, maca powder, goji berries, raw cacao, chia seeds,protein powder and flax oil. @TickleMeSilly720 No harm.. but it may take a bit for your body to get used to it.. if you feel gassy and have an upset stomach its just the added fiber you aren't used to!
@sistube714 working out & eating well, especially eliminating sugar & salt as much as possible will make your skin glow like crazy! You can also exfoliate with sea salt, ground coffee or baking soda a few times a week and that makes such a difference :)

Something that actually helped me a TON was having a big glass of fresh veggie/fruit juice for breakfast even just a few times a week (I do apple, carrot, spinach/kale/silverbeet, ginger, cucumber). @nycali Psyllium,and any fiber supplement that is high in soluble fiber can cause constipation if you don't drink enough water. You should be drinking more that half your body weight in ounces when having psyllium on a regular basis. If you aren't consuming that much water, opt for ground flax. It is still a great fibre supplement, and it is a 50/50 balance of soluble and insoluble fibre and is much easier to digest Hope this helps :)
Be sure to check with the pharmacist before taking any fiber supplements if you are taking any medication daily. My pharmacist recommended I wait at least 2 hours between taking medication and eating anything high fiber. Hope this helps :)

part 1: Okay so I am only 15 and am about 131 lbs and as far as exercise goes I am very active (I do crew about 5 to 6 times a week for at least 2 hours). I have always been one of those people who loves eating healthy because with how much exercise I get it is hard to keep up my energy. My probably is any time I talk to my mom about eating healthy, she claims I trying to diet and don't need to. She also freaks out any time she sees powders or sugar substitutes, or anything of that nature.
@ChochieL22 the unsweetened kind is just less sugar, less calories and lactose than milk... our tummies are sensitive to too much milk products. We get our calcium from green leafy vegetables, seafood (eating salmon with the bones provides an even greater dose), almonds, broccoli, figs, soybeans and tofu. We also take some calcium with vitamin D and C.
Calcium is found in a lot of other food sources... it's imp for bone health, cardiovascular, muscle maintenance& circulatory health. xxxo

@nycali psyllium husk will actually do the opposite! it flushes out anything that IS stuck to the inside walls of your intestines etc.. :)

The fiber creates a gel layer in the small intestine and thus inhibiting the absorption of nutrients. So the calcium etc doesn't do anything for you.
Also, that Psyllium Husk isn't necessary if you eat lots of vegetables, grains and cereal products, beans, lentils and peas. I would never take this.
