woah, this was by-far the BEST american idol finale to date.

and will for sure be the best EVER.

because, it hurts me to say this but.. this show is over, and its not just because Simon made the (right) choice to leave.

it honestly started right after the 7th season ended, from there on out, it was done

1) executive producer Nigel Lythgoe leaves.

2) Kara joins the show.

3) Paula leaves.

4) Ellen is in.

5) Simon leaves.

:/ and i think we all know, or we've all heard what happens next...

Oh wow! I think this was the saddest and yet the best finale of all!!! Seeing all the IDOLS except DC perform TOGETHER for the first time ever as a tribute to Simon was inspiring! I think even Ryan was holding back his sadness!

When Paula came out I almost cried. Simon's face just lit up when he saw her. He looked so happy. I think that Paula was trying so hard not to cry and that she just made her speech funny so people would laugh. Seeing the past Idols with exception to David Cook and the past Idol hopefuls was so touching and so emotional. Paula was right yeah the show will be different without Simon but like she said it will go on
