Hello friends,

It is very excellent video.

I have one question,

I am bioinformatician and so i need to create the live cd of the same cd having some software installed on my native installion of the Ubuntu 11.0

Is there any changes needed to make the pre installed softwares for version of this ubuntu

please help me, i am new to such remastering and need help of experts like u..

@ilifeacademy Yes, you're absoloutely right. If you were to set up Ubuntu/Debian with specific software, it'll remaster it with the software you pre-installed. Even the stuff you have to install from scratch (ie if you're not using the Software Center/Synaptic/Aptitude). Thanks for tuning in!

So this will help ful to me....besides that....there are several softwares, which are licenced and having limited licenece periods.... is it possible to do the same remastering of such installation?

So with all of this - how would you go about customizing the distro? i understand all of this but its not really your own distro if its just an Ubuntu copy with custom programs

If your iso file got to big cluld you use an external HD instead of a usb thumb drive

always helpful, especially modifying a distro you have already for traveling (instead of downloading another distro to a usb stick for on the road, modding your distro with this with all your stuff.
