Big deal! When welding out of position you always start at the bottom and go up in one pass, i don't see what the big deal is, probably nobody has ever seen an european welding shop. I used to weld a 6 inch schedule 80 pipe in about 12 to 15 minutes, even grinding out the tacks and the ends ands starts of the welds, and that's in 3 passes. So do the math, how many inches of weld is that in a 8 hour working day? We had to get 160 inches of weld per day, including lunch break and coffee breaks.

this looks like an impressive fabrication plant. may i ask what type of project will the finished product be used for? i am a retired heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanic in the usa.
