The AUG BAR is the squad automatic weapon variant of the regular AUG assault rifle. Same thing in black ops with the HK21 and the RPK, they are both LMG variants of assault rifles, basically assault rifles modified for greater ammo capacity and suppressive fire, which is the role of an LMG. Basically the H-BAR is an LMG, but at the same time its not, you know what I mean?

The "Light" in LMG don't literally mean it weighs little, it's called light because in comparison to a larger machine gun such as a .50cal turret the rate of fire and the ammunition is alot lighter or slighter weaker. It's just a way of catergorising firearms as there as so many in the world and all have different specifications.
