There were plans for a sequel. The story to take place some 15 years later. Mikey now runs antique shop and is engaged to a girl named Tami, Mouth and Stef are together and Mouth is running for public office, Data is in charge of a toy company that makes toys of his own design, Chunk is in college, a lot thinner and more serious, Brand works in the lumber yard and Andy teaches school. Brand and Andy miss each other. Jake and Francis are in state prison and their mother has passed away in prison.

How can you not like this movie? I started watching it when i was like 4 and its been my favortie movie since, and will continue to be forever. its awesome, i have a shirt and lunchbox! yay! also they just played it in a theatre in our town, they were having a corry feldman week, i went out and saw it at likd 10 on a school night. i pretty sure i can recite like the whole things. You can't go wrong with a good movie like this, why don't they come out with classic like this any more? Go Goonies!!

If the Goonies were real kids and not just actors, and if I was still 12, I'd love to hang out with them. I think they'd be a swell bunch of kids to be friends with, Just like the kids my bro and I used to hang out with when we were teenagers.

There was another 80's film, kind of similar to The Goonies, maybe a rip off ... It featured a group of kids from a rural town that discovered an entrance to an underground (?) labyrinth, and each one of them had to face their fears or something.

There was a chubby kid that got followed around by a giant hamburger. And another kid faced Darth Vader, I think.
