Ok so i watched up to the point where Paul began blackmailing Toadie about the tape. I missed most of it after that. I seen some bits, but nothing to do with this storyline. But at the time I knew he was to be pushed on the 6000th episode. So from that moment I listed lots of suspects : Rebecca, Declan, Andrew, Diana, Toadie, Steph or Lyn. But then i saw this and saw it couldn't have been Toadie. Was it defo Rebecca yeah? Or is she just saying that to protect Declan?

i had a feeling it was Rebbecca from the start becuz when she arrives at lasssiters b4 the acident she is angry and upset but then when she see's paul lying on the ground her reaction is a little to overdramatic considerin she is angry about his adultery

I believe that all the major clues so far have pointed to Kate being the attacker. She has been the most nervous character on screen, often in the background. Remember most likely, the attacker will never be questioned by the police, this gives the audience the most shock at the reveal, as they were never suspected so, hopefully the writers have made it so that the audience didn't suspect them either. It is likely that Kate will not be questioned by the police. What do you guys think?

Who did Rebecca say 'you've done more than enough' to at the hospital? Possibly a clever clue that not only have they been supportive, but also attacked Paul. Who did the police tell 'it's funny, Rebecca didn't remember seeing you' after offering Rebecca an aliby? Who was quick to break up the fight between Declan and Andrew possibly in fear of what might be discovered?

I think the Paul Robinson attacker was Kate.

I think the writers have done it well, but I think I've got it.

We can also rule out Andrew and Declan; both of these guys have been pointed to far too much for the audience to get a shock when the attacker is finally revealed. Andrew made a confession last night but clearly it will be about something else. Declan told Kate that he didn't push Paul, when this happens, the audience feels cheated if characters lie to them, so we believe Declan when he says he is innocent.

I don't think Paul's attacker was featured in the episode! Let's look at this as a 'process of elimination'. We can rule out Diana; it's far too obvious because she was organising him to be attacked. Let's rule out Rebecca; I thought it could be her at first but she was far too genuinely concerned at the hospital, able to talk to everyone calmly, without being nervous when questions were being asked.
