Yet here he is saying that the collective can coerse money, time, rights from the individual. Obama is an incredible individual. Strong, moral, eloquent, educated, worldly, and inspirational. The US has tough economic times ahead, but Obama will get us through it. He's the man.

BIG PHONEY! Lets hear him write his own speeches as Reagan did. this guy is getting more and more cloned each day. you'd think with all the hoopla he'd be kicking McCain by 20 or 30 points. In fact the circus tour of oversea's did absolutely nothing in the polls! As with Gore and Kerry he will lose by a state or two! Its good to see this guy getting a slow death! By Sept/Oct he will be behind in the polls!

One of the greatest speeches in American history. I honestly cannot understand why ANYBODY would give their vote for McCain, someone whose policies are nearly 100% similar to W Bush, after what has happened to this country over the last 8 years. Unless you are in the upper-class, why would you vote Republican? I can never understand how the GOP gets so many votes from working-class people who think the GOP is helping them.

Not sure this is the greatest speech, but it does stir emotion. He is the candidate I will vote for in November cause I agree the alternative is way too frightening to consider. However, whatever happens I still believe in the process, the country, the redemming new start to work on all of our countries problems. Do I think this individual will solve all of them; No Way. But do I want feel we as a united entity can change our world; yes, Yes I Can!!! Exercise your priviledge to vote in November

He sounds good when he talks. Great speech! but, who cares.... I want to see the fruit of his labors.
The only thing i see is his future moving towards bigger government and higher taxes.

If you consider this UNORIGINAL, cut and paste, history sampling speech one of the greatest in American History shows a complete lack or understanding of history or a very shallow exposure to the greatest speeches ever written by real leaders of this great nation. Look byond the gloss and hype and look for the depth of character and you see how shallow OBAMA really is. HE has eloquence and charisma, but so did some of the greatest frauds of time. What has he done to change od truly benefit us?

Can't speak to those voting for McCain, prolly the same reason people voting for Obama. They are unable to understand the concept of freedom. Both sides view the peoples rights as granted by the government, so both sides vote for the Patriot Act, FISA... Our constitution says they are granted by god and are inalienable, and as such cannot be taken by the government. I don't blame the politicians, people work in their best interests, I blame us the people for forgetting our heritage of freedom.

Yes very you are correct. It's down by law that we are all equal no matter what bloodline we go from, just as long as we are born here and are citizens of this nation, we are all considered equal. Racism, however, still prevents the people of the U.S. to understand that (well the majority of it that is). I feel you on that.
