  • do you have to provide education

  • after i get a better video card, i will kick SC4 out of my pc and install Cities XL!

  • that would be awsome if u could have a military @:D 8D >:]

  • @202username That would be cool

  • @202username it would be awsome if there would be an army tycoon type games, vuild training grounds, train soldiers, buy guns and equipent, earn notoriety and more

  • how much time a day do you spend working on your cities ?

Great video to keep up the great work

  • Thank you for the comments!

When I was making this video I think I was putting in about 2 hours a night into building it. I cut a TON of footage to show the expansion and such.

After that video I think I have logged 30 minutes due to work and school lol.

  • @codycasey811 Sadly not enough, when I had the time it was one or two hours, three tops every few days. Now its about a 1/4th of that if that.

  • Also, I had one more question about the game. Are there any rewards/other building types? After seeing you pleay there doesn't seem to be any variety in constructions types or other buildings (ex. City Hall, University, Soccer Stadium, etc.). Are these types of structures present in the game?

  • I agree, there are not quite as many building types in this as SC4 for the regular buildings. However, in SC4 your extra buildings (parks and massive buildings) cost a lot of money a month. Same with this. You can either start in advanced mode with everything unlocked, or unlock them as your city grows and you expand it, rezone etc. I have only built one or 2. I will show those in the final vid. They are pricey to maintain.

  • thanks for the videos, I think I can say that after seeing all 3 videos, that Simcity 4 is a better, and more powerful game. The main problems that I see in this game are zoning (I wish it was as flexible as SC4, I mean you have flexible transportation, but zones are only 1 size?), and the other problem is no region view, once you run out of space in that city (which's not at all hard to do) its game over, no where left to expand, thats a really big problem with the game, I think

  • To a point, SC4 you can only build straight grids, and buildings sometimes leave empty grids as they cannot use them. In this you plop a construction site down and they can build what they want there. I have seen 3 town homes built on one site so it will do that similarly to SC4.

Your on a whole planet, inter connected and trading. (see future video) which trades with itself. SC4 never could do that. This city fills up, start another one next door just like SC4. No mass view though.

  • I found the zoning in this much more flexible, I am not constricted by the grid block pattern, I can plop construction site where ever I want. I keep saying construction site which is what it is. More realistic. In real life a neighborhood is zoned for a particular type of zone and then its up to the builders to user or not use the whole site. Its not lets use 8 grids of this one and leave 2 grids over there for nothing.

  • I show some of the other details in the earlier offline video's I have posted, but I will make a note to try and touch on this in the final online video show which I will start work on soon.

  • Do zones develop over time like in SC?

  • Unfortunately not that I have seen thus far which I do miss. Now that could be patched in because there are still some content blocks missing like mass transit.
