  • No red ear sunfish in clear lake you have to go to lake Sonoma or lake hennesey for those .The dfg forgot to plant them in clear lake and Berryessa .The big brother to the blue gill somehow got overlooked.

  • this is a great clip, what a great day out for the family and some nice fish. Its important to get the girls hooked on fishing..lol

  • dang! your wife beasting on those bass! i havent seen women fish like that yet. Especially bass fishing

  • Bob Higgins of Clear Lake Bait & Tackle is the man! He's the nicest guy I've ever met! Looks like he told you about the good spots during the bass spawning season.

  • what where u guys useing for bait

  • It's been three years, but I believe we used Roboworms, Zoom plastics or minnows.

  • Damn, wish I was in California. Heard they were one of the best, if not the best, states to hold large amounts of largemouth bass.

  • @MikLurchFisherman219 Thanks. This is in Clear Lake, Northern California. There are several cities around the lake, like Lakeport.

  • This is a really great video, song and all lol. i love the catch and release also, you guys caught so may fish! what city and state is this lake in? great job guys! keep the kids fishing!

  • and also do you disgorge the fish with your hands or a disgourger??

  • We lip the fish with our hands and remove the hooks by hand. If needed, we use needle nose pliers.

  • i probably would last week i caught a massive perch on a lake .... i rated your vid 5 star

  • Thanks!

  • i think you are great at fishing i wish i could catch fish that quick

  • Thanks. Actually, when the bite is on at Clear Lake, I'm sure you would do just as well. A boat helps a lot too.

  • very nice. i live in the midwest and i cant catch anything before the water hits 50-55. what do you recommend using when the water is colder then 50?

  • When it gets that cold, I often go to finesse fishing ... small baits on light line fished veryyy slow. Dead sticking can help draw a bite from cold fish too. Good luck.

  • Whats Up Cornel !!!

  • wats the name of the song thank.s

  • The song is called "Get Up" by Ciara.

  • nice fish!!!!!!!makes me wanna hit the water!!!!now!!!!lol!!!go clearlake...

  • You had a wonderful family fishing trip and I enjoyed watching your terrific fishing success. What time of the year were you fishing? Were the bass on rockpiles, brush, or just hanging around weeds?

  • Thanks. We fished in mid-April and caught our fish around docks, weed edges and open water, with or without a few weeds. There were no rocks where we fished.

  • How do you know bob?Hes cool he always gives me and my dad discounts on swimbaits and all the baits in the store

  • Check your PM.

  • is this the lake in california?

  • Yes, it's the one in Northern California.

  • ohh yay i have a piece of land right by it its facing the lake.

  • I like this video fam, Ripp'n Lipps

  • i love clear lake, but make sure u dont eat the fish! so much mercury, u are recommended to eat only 2 fish a year from there. i prefer to go to Blue Lakes. Closer to Ukiah.

  • I agree, however I believe the DFG says you can eat one or two servings per month. Check the regs. I'm not exactly sure since I eat very few fish out of that lake, maybe 2-3 crappie per year at most.

  • me and my dad cot 30 this morn

  • was it live bait, or texas rig?

  • Thanks for the inquiry. Fish #s 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 were caught using Roboworms or Zoom plastics on a shakey head. Fish # 3 was caught on a split shotted Roboworm. Fish #s 7 & 8 were caught with live minnows.

  • I have been there many times, my grandpa's friend owns a ranch up above clear lake, we go hunting for Deer and hogs up there.

  • Dude, you guys had a great time...

    Did you try any swimbaits?

  • Thanks. No, I kept it simple for the girls. I wanted them to get more bites too. I'll save the swimbaits for my next trip up there.

  • Hey, were you fishing in clear lake northern indiana?

  • No, this is the Clear Lake in Northern California. Thanks for the inquiry.
