What happened to the traditional style of Jousting? My grandfather and father used thick fluted lances that could crush bone if if didn't have proper padding and armor.

Also they used the old rules 1 for chest 2 for head and 3 for dismounting.

I think this needs more exposure, because the cost of equipment will go down and I wanna eat hot dogs and drink beer with friends at my local jousting facility

Having watched this show (Ironfest) grow from a stall or two to what it is today is nothing short of wonderful.

Who knows where it will go? I think the sky is the limit.

I hear a whisper that Ironfest might start travelling. Hope it does. It's well worth going to.
