What's the soldier talking about when he mentioned folks sending gifts? I've not heard or seen of anyone organising this. Why aren't the folks responsible for this collection more prominent? I would've given. Or is it just family and friends? But I hope it's not just limited to them.
Ask at the post office for an address to send to Afganistan...tell the clerk you want to sent gifts to soldiers...if he dont know ask to see manager.Its FREEPOST..its not really publicised as then 10000,s would do it and the system would be over run. I have sent to an anymous squaddie....it gives a good feeling of well being.
No, I think many members of the public send stuff to the bases and they sort of distribute it, although they do disgorge people 'randomly' sending stuff, because it floods the mail.
