  • how to win, be gary numan

  • awesome video.great track.

  • he should c about getting a perscription for a strong anti-convulsant/ant-seizure medication

  • he's creepy, i'm scared. He's gives me the willies.

  • Sorry Numan, i am your fan but i cant like this.

This guy, Ade fenton... he's a bad influence to you...

  • This collaboration of both Gary Numan and Ade Fenton is brilliant! I think it's amazing that Gary wants to push the envelope and expand his horizons by creating music that sounds current to our time. Don't get me wrong his older albums were amazing but he's like an ageless wonder in the music industry. He adapts to the current music of todays world and finds his target audience. This simple fact is what will keep him one step ahead of everyone else.

  • OMG!!!! I'm in love with the editing. Amazing!!!

  • @firefighterjumper do check out the HD version which is linked to this video

  • Wow, usually you see a cool song and a lame video, but this video is as amazing as the song. Well done!!!

  • Damn skippy for a first video. Props.

  • to bad Abe Fenton made the music so harsh and noise...

  • @Cyphoria1 it is an industrial song, it's supposed to sound harsh and dark...so i love it !

  • CAPOLAVORO!!!

  • i've introduced this video and song to many people. still think it's brilliant and a perfect match and complement to the song's music and lyrics. hope you're still making videos. :)

  • just to good to be true, i was there when it all started back in 1979 west london, tubeway army.

  • You made a great job! The video gives the same strange feeling as the song and it does the song justice :) So be proud!

I'm a huge fan of Ade and this song shows how talented he is. Garys voice is just marvelous here!

  • can't find lyrics. any ideas?

  • Damn fine effort for first attempt I say....Good luck with future ventures!

  • Fantastic...............I used to know Ade Fenton back in the day, top bloke, I had loads of time for him. Had a few laughs and got into some fight .............good to see hes making great music with the Big G............KEEP IT UP ADE -

  • I've only just discovered this and I love it!! Its the best video I've seen for ages. Love the creepy feel to it :-)

  • 5 stars from me. This is tremendous. For a first time venture - this is exceptionally good.

  • God. Gay is so hot.

  • haha i assume thats a typos and supposed to say gary

  • haha - yep. gaRy ;-)

  • Haha.

  • this video is fricken awesome but they dont have it on damn itunes

  • fricken awesome video

  • squeal!

  • cool

  • Great video. Great track. Lame vocals. I'm a fan, but I don't like when he sings like this all breathy. Like the skull thing. Gary Numan has had the dorkiest image in modern music for so long, I don't know if I can deal with a "cool" Gary Numan.

  • More tripe from the vault of gary numan tripe. Good

    video though

  • Hi, I really enjoyed the video as much as the song. As a fan of old school industrial, I really liked how the video wasn't "too much" and focussed more on buildings and simple scenes. It reminds me of all these old videos: Front 242 (Headhunter), Frontline Assembly (Iceolate), Cabaret Voltaire (Sensoria) and Nine Inch Nails (Down in it). I could go on and on...you get the idea I guess :).

  • fabulous video, especially if it's your 1st. and i agree with the other comments, as much as i love gary's last few albums, his videos have always (for the last 12 years anyway, since he changed his musical style) looked a bit cheesy, as if he's trying too hard. it's hard to put your finger on what makes them like that - and i'm a huge fan so it's even more difficult to criticise - but this just feels more, i dunno, 'right'.

  • I'm a big Numan fan and would agree with brapped - this is the most watchable thing he's been in for a long time. I liked the style of other recent videos, like 'rip' and ''n a dark place', but this is far more atmospheric and downright chilling - great job!

  • why lame? i dont mind constructive critism... you feel it a bit cliched? i thought id try a new spin on the cliche though... like the lights on the building show a new skull, so its trying to bring the cliche up to date in some respects.. if you look closely when ade is the mirror shot it makes a skull subtely and gary shirt skulls... its was the main theme. Unless of course you just mean its poorely implemented in my defense i only learnt aftereffects after we shot the video!

  • actually the skull in the lights reminded me of the poster of the 80's slasher 'visiting hours', which i took as a nod to.

and does a 'video nasties' reference really hurt the creepy vibe you got going on in the video?

    hell no!

  • Great video, apart from the skull thing, which was a bit lame, but overall, very good. The song took a while to grow on me and i still prefer the remixes on the single but hey...

  • i don't think i could possibly talk about how much i enjoyed this video without swearing.

hopefully the next time numan does a music video, he gives you a call. this beats the pants off just about every clip he's done in decades.

  • Simply an amazing video.

  • This is simply amazing. I really liked how you made Gary's eyes strange at 2:05, followed by the spark-eyes and facial distortions... wow.

I have a hard time believing this is your first! :) Keep up the good work!

  • honest to god its my first time and i have never trained at this. After effects and a powerbook worked the magic (as did the many many many hours put in!). Partciles effects in after effects for the eyes and warp distort for the facial distortions, although not entirely happy with all of them cus we ran out time, bearing in mind we had to learn all this software as well as implement it!

  • well hell, i'd never know it wasn't "professional." : ) I look forward to seeing your next learning experience!

  • Excellent and a great debut!!!!

Get in Garys ear and help out in his future releases!!!

Great song and a collaboraton that suits Gary and Ade very well!

  • what daring to attempt such a thing and what daring to commsision just new un prepared talent. Glad it paid off. Often innovative ideas come to the untested.

  • And what a fine directorial debut it is! I'm really enjoying this. Nice work!
